Where do you guys buy your mp3's from?

I'm shopping around really as Itunes is really pricey


And before anyone starts, no I do now want to download for free - I don't steal

I use Amazon. You can listen to your bought music on different devices as long as you can connect to the cloud.

Also Xbox Music (Zune), For $10/month - $99/year, you can stream, DOWNLOAD and synch to your Xbox360, PC and Windows phone. The downside is that basically you're renting the songs, however you get all the music that you want to listen for the price of only 70-99 songs.

You can also buy the songs individually on Xbox Music and they run specials all the time. I personally think that their music service is the best.

p. s. Don't use their Xbox video service though, that one is consistently the most expensive of the bunch.

I haven't tried them,but they work under same principle, try looking for some reviews. The problem is most of the reviews are bs, and come from stupid "do good" americans(Im from usa so I can say this) that still think its stealing cause they dont sh*t about International Laws and importation laws(basically if its licensed in that country you can import it for personal use).

Youtube is probably the best place to get music for free using the betamax loophole, it does violate Youtube's TOS but its currently not against the law to violate a sites TOS.

You shouldn't rip them off youtube, as the quality is always quite poor - (128). These downloads are often posted to 'mp3 sites' so be wary.

If you want to pay then just go to the Russian or Cyrpus based mp3 sites, as your paying but not getting ripped off by Itunes.

do you know about spotify? ...it has an offline mode...


I used to download TONS (i.e. 100+GB) of *perfect* quality cds (V0 usually)....but found spotify. completely legal, and no need to download anymore.

for $5-10/mo you have access to pretty much everything that exists.

[edit], also see you said you have an iphone. ...they have an app...so you would be set. ...could stream anything you want.

Are you in the U.S. by any chance, It seems to be a cultural thing among DJ's. Majority of U.S. Dj's prefer to pay for music, whereas it seems Dj's from Europe, seem to prefer just using sites like zippyshare to get music or torrent sites.

People sometimes say well they can audit your laptop to see if your using pirated songs, that is total f*cking bs. If there is no indication that you pirated the music in the first place, then they cannot take your laptop. And they never even check in the U.S.
