1and1 really annoyed me today

StableHost has never let me down.

I second that. Stablehost has never let me down. Great uptime, great customer support, huge discount for yearly packages, and the best part is it's super fast. I hate lag in my wordpress dashboard and I hardly experience any of that with this provider, even at peak hours. (I've tried many hosts including hostgater, bluehost, hostwind, etc. and none of them compare)

1and1 was one of the worst for me. For some reason I pick up a "predatory" vibe from them. Like they were trying to take advantage of me at every opportunity. I left them so fast.

The premium membership is for those who are interested in advertising there. It gives advertisers some extra privileges, nothing you need to worry about.

I wonder why they would even bring it up with you, if they are not going to tell you where the problem is at. They must be assuming that you are the one doing it.

I know, thats why it was so crazy. They did tell me it was done by a file called sendmail.php but could not tell me the file path.

I did sort it out in the end - I used shell to search through all files and found about 5 sendmail.php files and then replaced them with more secure scripts (with captcha etc).

But it just annoyed me that they had so little info.
