Noob's journey from 0 to 100$/day : everything explained!

This is my first post here.

I am starting my journey, from 0 to 100$ per day using 2 main methods: first, a blog, monetized with AdSense and Amazon, then youtube videos monetized mainly through CPA, but I may also try affiliate sales, later down the road;

I take an oath here, on this day, that I shall not give up before I have had not succeeded in my journey. I may at times get discouraged, think about quitting, but I urge you to put some sense into my head and encourage me to keep going, as I know I need your friendship and support on the weeks to come. In exchange I will share with you everything I've learned, I will tell you everything I try, and give you the resuls on a silver plate, so that you shall not make the same mistakes I will make.

15/05 report:

what I have so far:
a few keyword phrases in the cosmetics/health niche;
a 5 years old domain with a wider scope than the main keyword phrase - no SEO yet;
350$ cash;

tasks at hand:
create (/outsource) content for at least the first 5 pages for the main and secondary phrases (one page each);
install wordpress with an adsense-ready theme;
continue keyword research, digging up long-tail keywords around the main phrase;

what I want to do today:
find 1 additional long-tail phrase;
read 50 pages from a 240 pages youtube WSO;
start a long-tail keyword list;
research results 4,5 and 6 for outranking difficulty for my main phrase;


I'm on a really tight schedule, being on an internship, so most of my work will be made when I'm back home; I hope I'll finish the merging of 2 templates that I have to do this week, so that I'll be able to work on my blog the next 2 days without anyone bothering me.

I have considered your advice, but let me explain to you why I will proceed in this manner, illustrating with an example:
I have bought the domain through an auction on Sunday evening; I won't be able to control it for at least a week (delays with transferring, registration), so I can't actually do much for my blog this week; in the meanwhile, I have outsourced my content creation.

While waiting for the content to be ready, I have had a conference call with an old friend last night, and have introduced him to the world of IM; I gave him everything he needs to learn, and he's going to take care of the youtube contet creation, as he has some good skills in AfterEffects; once his IM skillset is done, we will probably be associates, as I consider having one trustworthy person in any given situation is crucial to your success.

I have 2 themes downloaded for this, in my archive, namely Socrates and Thesis. I found them both here on BHW, in the downloads section. I will use Thesis, as I knew it before BHW and I've read some good reviews.

on a side note, guys, as I stated in this thread's title, I am a noob, so any advice you give me is not only welcome, but appreciated!

What I did:
I found 4 additional long-tail phrases;
I've read the whole book, but didn't learn a lot from it, I already knew most of the info I found there;
I started my keyword list, I have 5 phrases, and I've formatted the 4 new ones for a spinner, so once I get home I'll spin them to have all the variations;
I researched the results on the first page, and I got a bit scared ... the 7th result seems even more powerful then the 6th and 5th ones; 4th is rather powerful, but the 3rd and 2nd results seem easy to outrank ... weird ... anyway, 1st place has a lot of backlinks in place, so I don't think I'll be able to beat them, and I also don't want to dream too big

what I plan on doing tonight (I'll still have around 4 hours that I could work, once I get home):
unpack my thesis theme, install it locally just to get a feeling of how the control panel is used;
test my crawler for another project of mine;
find at least 2 other long tail keywords by using SB;
have another conference with my friend, give him next things that I consider he should learn;
make a more accurate business plan concerning my blog, write everything down;
talk to the freelancer I've outsourced my content to;
take care of a small personal project; (yes, I think I just used this post as a reminder for myself :silly: )

If you have any question about what I've done so far, any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask me! as I said in the title, I want to give something back to the community, for all the support you're giving me!

I'm using Google's Keyword tool; I first started with one of the 'main' niches, and 'dug' down on long tail ones; use your common sense to think of 2 and 3-word phrases, and then get some longer-tail options by using google suggest (google "google suggest longtail tool" or something like that for some free tools) and then google keyword tool to test each of the long tail results.
also, in google keyword tool, use broad match if you want google to give you some ideas and suggestions of similar searches, together with stats about these searches.

dude, that's a paid tool ... and from the looks of it, I wouldn't buy it!
I have bought ScrapeBox, and it has a free addon (once you buy the actual tool) for keyword scraping, that works perfectly for long-tail suggestions!
if you want to pay for something I really suggest you buy ScrapeBox: it's a scraper, automatic poster, and it has a whole library of addons that can do all kinds of stuff! plus, if you search google for scrapebox discount, you can get it for something like 50$ I think! well, do as you please, that's just my suggestion anyway

Btw, I saw you are looking for some LTK. ubersuggest can help you. It's a free tool. Get some ideas from there.

I was searching for an EMD, but all are taken, sadly ... what I did find, however, is a partial EMD: it starts with my exact phrase, separated by hyphens, and at the end with an extra word, that is very niche specific.
Sadly, together they don't really make sense;

let me explain: I have my main phrase made out of 3 words; I'll call them a,b and c
we can change b for it's synonim, which we'll call d;
so normal phrases are "a b c", or "a d c", from which the first one gets a lot more searches;
now, "abc","a-b-c" and "abcd" are taken, but "a-b-c-d" is free .
should I buy it?
I was thinking to make a link scheme, with links pointing from the domain I already have ( which is targeting a more general niche, that includes the smaller one ) to the (almost-)EMD;
what do you think, guys?

my main 3 word phrase has 12,100 exact monthly searches (taken from GKWT), and an approximate CPC of 3.27€
I don't know when I'm going to rank for them, since this is my first hands-on experience with SEO; up until now, I've only read books and learned about it ...

My possible SEO strategy ... I have something in mind, but I haven't wrote out a plan yet; I'll include it in my update this evening, ok?

Sounds good. It's always interesting to hear what works for others.

As for the domain, I would try looking for a bit longer. If it doesn't make sense and has 3 hyphens then I would really spend some time brainstorming, maybe there is something.. How about a-b-cs (adding an s to the end for plural) or abcs?
