Anybody got any luck trying to implement this to index their backlinks?

You should try to add a list of backlinks you need to get indexed in the video posts and then to ping Google. Then when the robots crawl the video page they will follow the links on it too. Might work, will give it a try.

Hi All,

Thanks OP for the post. I did a little test on a domain i had around (its a emd), its in the cruise niche so as you know it has some big competition. Just took 4 cruise videos from youtube and have put them on 3 pages. Put in the video sitemap and statpress V to see the action. My keywoord for the test is cruise.

It took 10 min for the first bot to come around and man from that point it was visit after visit.
I have blocked the sistrix bot.

After that I put about 1000 words text on the first page and about 300 on a other page. I did not find my page in the top 50 of Google yesterday, I also put Adsense on the sites that had text.

I have not done more for the night and just now (3min ago) I have had 55 bot visits.

The nice thing is I am on page 3 of Google at the moment, I will ad about two 500 words to the site today and do some licht linkbilding and see what will happen.

For your information i am doing this test in Holland not the US..... lets see where this will take the site.

Yeah I have the same, I even saw the spiders coming in, but my site is nowhere to be seen on google/bing or w/e SE.

Edit: Tested it on another site and I don't even see the crawlers coming in anymore, so dunno if it still works or not. Or I'm doing something wrong.

Go to YouTube and grab some embed codes for the videos and you are done.

Indexed my entire site in 30 seconds.

Or i can just add videos to couple of pages and ping it?

you need at least 1 video on the page to get indexed fast. so 50 pages? 50 videos, 1 on every page is enough.
