If you don't have any experience in setting up website, etc. I'd suggest to go with WordPress or Blogger, both are the best (free) blogging platform today. Just register and you can create your blog(s) and post your articles in minutes. You can even later use your own domain name with them (paid).

I'd go with Wordpress because if you get into IM or become a serious blogger you'll be using WP, so you might as well start off using a tool the pro's use. There are some big names that use Wordpress: CNN, C/NET, Ben & Jerry.
