Making a game for Facebook app & iPhones?

Hi guys, I want to try making a game and publish it on Facebook Apps and Google Apps. What it the main things should I learn first? I am not really good at making games. What are the basic things should I learn about making a game? What kind of games people like to play?

To start out, get a few game app codes online for free and try to add your own twists to them. But facebook apps and mobile apps are completely different, so you should rather concentrate on any one of them first.

Your app will require certain viral components like posting to walls, inviting people's friends, or trading in game points for inviting friends to play with them.
