What differentiates the marketer from the "marketers"?And why is it that some people struggle to make $100 per month...while others can easily make $10,000+?

The difference primarily lies in the mentality.

When you are performing your marketing, what is on your mind as you write out your copy...or creating your product...or writing your affiliate reviews...anything.

If you're thinking, "Oh man, I can't wait to make a lot of money doing this!", then your chances of actually making that buck may not actually happen.

However, if you think in terms of, "Oh man, I'm excited to provide real value to real people who need an answer!", then suddenly, your chances of success increases exponentially.

Why? Because value is a huge determining factor as to the ultimate growth and success of companies.

VALUE IS WHAT YOU STRIVE FOR!

Let's take a few examples.

Everybody thinks that Apple is a big success due to their tech innovation. This is true, to a certain degree. But what they really did was provide extra value to their customers.

MP3 players and the technology was around for a while before the iPod even came out. However, iPods gave users the uber simplicity of design, as well as functionality. This translated to value innovation, not tech innovation.

Next, let's look at the shoe distribution giant Zappos. Selling shoes online wasn't a new thing...but what they saw was that the value of it can be increased dramatically. Zappos understood that people like to try on different sizes, colors, styles, etc before deciding which pair they ultimately want to buy.

So they created an immense amount of value innovation by bringing the "department store shopping experience" right into your home. "Order as many shoes as you'd like and return the ones you don't want for free" was their tagline.

No wonder they became a billion dollar business in such a short amount of time.

YOU, the marketer...listen up.

Yeah, you.

Stop thinking about your own selfish wants. All you see in MMO forums is, "how can I make $100 a day?" How can I do this...I I I I I

Instead, think about how you can provide value to a targeted group within an industry.

Really, actually, and genuinely care to fulfill their pains and needs.

Suddenly, all of your own desires and dreams will be filled as a by-product of YOU providing value innovation to your clients.

And the world continues to go round.

I hope that was helpful...Love you BHW :)

Glad you liked it @Mr.Boss - let me know if you have any questions about anything!

You said it my friend, I`m driven every day to beat my high score which in reality is the most money I earned in a day and on most days the most keeps going up. The most money I have earned in a Month doing I`m is about $50,00 grand... You have to find what works for You and try harder each and every day to meet your goals, never give up til You find the thing that works foe You.

I would put money on it most who say they make $10k a month are lying.

Ehh I pulled in $10k just spamming, so don't know. Didn't really care about value just the buck.

Yes, yes, YES! NOTHING pays as much as honest, hard work with a motivation beyond instant satisfaction! Thank you for this post :)

Ya I mean we're all different in the approach that we take towards our business.

Given that it's a blackhat forum, sure, spamming is prob the name of the game.

But the thread is really for those who want to build a business...a brand..a reputation for themselves.

From my experience, it takes just as much as work building up a brand/business as it does to be a spammer.

The major difference is that a business/brand is sustainable...vs blackhat methods have a limit of its life. At any time, one of your methods that may be bringing home bank can easily go away.

Here Here!

Give enough people what they want and you will be rich. If you go around thinking about what you want then you will never be rich.

Offer a solution, a easier way of doing something, a quicker way of doing something, a way for a person to get what they want.... It does not matter. Seek to meet NEEDS, not to make money. :) The money will be the by-product of you meeting other people's needs. Serve the masses ;)

Couldn't agree with you more. The key is innovation. That's what set apple apart from windows, windows is just now trying to catch back up.

some realy solid & quality advice.

I'm so glad you didn't write a 10.000 word thread just to explain that :D

Awesome post rockong, I especially liked the zappos example. I had no idea that was their angle and it's brilliant.

Certainly, the old rules of marketing are dead. Today, you need to break out of the mold and get ready to solve the day-to-day issues of people from whom you want to make money.

I can't forget Jay Baer's line - "The more you sell, the less you sell!".

Hope you get the idea.

Thanks.
