I was scammed for $650. Paid for a corporation, bank account, ATM card, and 3 merchant accounts. He pretty much guaranteed that I would get a paypal account. Did I? No. What I got: Articles of Incorporation, bank account information (with no company name), and google checkout.



After being more than patient for months on end, I started to get angry. So I told him I wanted everything straight within the coming week, by the following Friday. Friday came, and Friday went. I gave him an ultimatum... making it clear that I would expose this scam if he didn't complete the deal with me, and gave him until the following Tuesday. He never did. This however gave him enough time to post in the VIP section letting everyone know that i'm on my way to 'trash' him.

It's a pity you can't use the set up without the paypal. And it is a pity Uptownbulker spent his time, money and energy to do a set up that is finally useless.

Another issue that is arousing my suspicion of your motives here would be your failure to answer my email requesting contact information to the federal agent in charge of collecting information for the case you claim is already underway.

I've been in touch with a federal investigator in another non-related case and I'm somewhat familiar with how widely they publicize contact information aimed at those who can provide any information.

Your failure to provide it calls into question your intentions here -- at least from where I sit. You posted your email address and I emailed you. No response.

Many scammers are very keen to the fact that a group of scam victims can often be ripe for another scam known as the "Saviour" play. You know where I'm going with this?

Uptown had established credibility by becoming an established member of the board. You along with the other accusers had not. I'm not taking sides here, just stating obvious facts.

Just because you have a dispute with somebody DOES NOT MEAN that the other person is a scammer....it just means that you have a dispute.

He knows his shit, and it seems like an awful stretch that someone educated and skilled in the field they sell a service in failed to deliver.

I have no say in this matter, as I did not buy anything from uptown, nor did I get scammed by him, etc.

But I do know the person who handled his paypal payments. I will not say who this person is. All I know is he is getting a LOT of chargebacks from people who bought from Uptown, who did not receive what they purchased. Also, Uptown has yet to return any of my friends emails/calls/etc.

If he isn't contacting the man that was processing his payments and passing his money on to him... well, I don't see what hope his customers have.

This is just my two cents but I'd like to point out that a lot of people here don't know the whole story or the whole situation and shouldn't be commenting. Myself included, probably. But at the very least I can say I know some of the people involved on Uptown's end, and he's abandoned them too from all I've heard.

As far as Uptown being untouchable by the feds.. someone watches too many movies. That's just ridiculous.

All this infighting between the people in this thread needs to stop. It's juvenile. If someone feels they've been wronged by another member here, support them until it's resolved. The burden of proof lies on the accusor, sure, but that doesn't mean we need to belittle that person until they go away. Also, the accusor should be nicer to his peers, if he wants their help. End of story.
