So I am going to get a new client soon! They loved the interactive mockup I uploaded for them and are very interested in Web Design, but I am offering to commandeer their Internet Marketing sector. Including Local SEO (and all that entails), PPC (via Social Media), weekly updates to their sites inventory and help with their Social Media Presence they have now.
Now the company is small and it would be my first client so I was thinking at least $347 per location (they have 3 stores, expanding to 5+ soon). So Ill ask for $447/month. At this point, I will be earning less than their computer tech, but that is one of my compromises I may make to sweeten the deal. I plan on obtaining at minimum 4 clients a month and this would give me a solid foundation coming out of college in December.
Think that is a good price? I don't want to ask for too little, cause although I am new in the field, I have access to the largest collection of smart IM guys in the world. Period. So I am confident that I can deliver and I don't want to give off that "Cheap Amateur" vibe.
My client is a computer repair/seller and their locations are in very small towns (at the moment) and one happens to be a college town. I know I can target the college and help them get clients from there. According to adwords, each town is getting like 30-80 searches for their keywords (broad). I understand that is low, but I dont trust the keyword tool too much as there are people paying like 6$ per click in google for those terms in the same city.
TL;DR Version
Is charging Local SEO per location a good model? Or should I try to figure out where my client is likely to be in the following years and make a fixed price, no matter how many branches this client expands to? I would like to grow as the company grows (and my work load grows). What are you guys thoughts?
