Review:

This software is Kick Ass! When i clicked run i literally said "Holy sh*t!!" Because of the speed lol, everything works properly and lightning fast! & the data it gives you is extremely helpful! One of my favorite parts of this software is the ability to choose what they call "Metrics", You can check out Link quality, Penalty, Traffic, Social signals & Network! Plus their coming up with more awesome features and updates , & it also includes a very easy to understand Manual, But they didn't even have to include it, This software is not like others, Its VERY easy to use!. You can even check the amount of spam on each page!!! Which i think is pretty awesome, It also gives your domain a authority level , This tool is a serious must have for all IMers, especially in the SEO game, I easily grabbed about 900 unique high authority .EDU & .GOV Links just today with little work! If you don't have this tool you're really missing out! So far I am 100% Impressed with this & would easily recommend this to everyone in the IM game, Give it a GO!

Looks like a great software. A quick question:

Do we need to ALREADY have a SEMrush, aHrefs, MajesticSEO accounts or this software gives you that info without been subscribed any to those services??

good question, i'd like to know this too...if no subscription is required that would be an awesome way to bypass subbing to those services and I would buy it alone just for this perk :) i know it's possible as there are other online services (which will remain nameless) that scrape data for you without a membership needed.

This is going to be a stupid question, but does it make sense to pick up seomoz to go beyond the 1000 links? Mozz isnt my faviorite tool, however getting really good backlink info for competitive research is worth every penny.

Not a stupid question at all!

I personally like Moz's Open Site Explorer but backlink services are kind of like keyword tools. Everyone has their favorite :-)

If you do a lot of backlink research for sites with a huge number of backlinks then it would probably be worth the added expense of on SEOMoz pro account. (you can get a free month trial on their site if you wanted to check it out and see)

If you are mostly researching smaller/medium niche sites or even researching the backlinks of expired domains, then I don't think the extra coast of upgrading your Moz account would be worth it.

The way we pull data from SEOMOz is to pull backlinks based on highest Page Authority (their main metric for the quality of a backlink) and we pull only external backlinks not internal links. This offsets some of the limitations of the 1000 backlinks by pulling the backlinks they consider most authoritative and not taking up "space" with internal links.

It's not perfect, but for many sites (even ones with tons of backlinks) the link quality falls off the cliff pretty quickly after the first few hundred links and since the aim of Backlink Miner is to help find a site's best backlinks that you might be able to use yourself or replicate using similar strategies, I think it performs extremely well within the limitations we have to work with.

Hope my mini novel was able to answer your question :-) If not hit us back and we can discuss some more.

No. You don't need any additional accounts/api except for the free SEOMoz API which we use to pull the raw backlink data.

For Majestic, Ahrefs, and semrush we pull the summary data for the domain/page you want to analyze but not the actual backlink lists from those services.

While you do not need accounts with these other services we only pull the summary data for each domain/page you analyze from these services. So if you search on Majestic for "www.apple.com" you get the main summary points like number of backlinks, linking domains, edu and gov links, etc . That's what I mean by summary data. We don't pull the entire list of Apple's backlinks that Majestic has.

Clear as mud?

interesting, thats pretty awesome then. when i manually use these services (as a guest) i get blocked out after 10-20 searches within 24 hours..

Why are the Title Rank, Keywords, Anchor Global Search, Anchor Local Search, Anchor CPC, Reciprocal, Host results all blank?

1. Can you NOT make the text blur when scrolling?
2. We need to able to copy a cell value to clipboard (not the whole record row).

I appreciate the answer, it makes sense since most of what I do involves 15-20k link profile's per client. I just needed a reason to ditch one vendor and go with another. The software looks killer, and with a major goog update coming, knowing backlink profiles is going to be the norm, it is now, but now on a higher level. Thanks!

Do we need proxies to run a 50 thread analysis?

Yes, without proxies you will definitely get blocked running at 50 threads.

Title rank, and host are probably blocked if you are not using proxies or only have a few proxies and are running multiple threads. For the search and CPC metrics, this is a bug that I found last night and submitted to the developers to take care of. An update is coming.

You mean the "fade" effect? If so I'll talk with developers and see if it can be removed.

2. We need to able to copy a cell value to clipboard (not the whole record row).

Noted. Added to the list :-)

Thanks to everyone that has purchased. We really appreciate it!

Yes, please add an option to remove the fade effect.

Oh I run 50 threads without proxies and I am now blocked. Is there any way to unblock?

It is just a temporary block by Google for some of the metrics the software collects. It normally lasts a few hours and no more than a day. I would definitely recommend using proxies though or you will keep getting blocked.

where to get free proxies?

If you have scrapebox you can harvest them from there or just do a Google search for "free proxies" or "public proxies" and you will find tons
