Handwritten or Printed Addresses on Envelopes?

Im doing a variation of this method:

Would it be best to print the address labels or hand write them?
What would give the better impression?

I am hand writing addresses on envelopes. Kind of a pain in the ass but its all the post office had. But now I see it as more personal and a better chance of being read thoroughly. Next mailing shipment I'm going to put out the same amount of printed envelopes and check my results. I'd say do both and do a case study.

I prefer handwritten. I actually just sent out a bunch today. Printed makes it looks like an advertisement more. Handwritten is more work, but makes it more personal and less spammy.

I was pondering this same question today as I prepared for my next marketing blast. The impression that the handwritten envelope gives is that someone took some time to write this down, maybe it isn't someone trying to sell me something. If it gets opened, you have a better chance of making the sell. Especially if you give them what they want first, instead of trying to get what you want first.

If it's just a envelope, handwriting, boxes I would go with labels. Some things that have worked for me, usps has the flat rate boxes, like 5-6$ bucks a pop, if you get the signature confirmation, not sure if they tell who signs, but after they sign for it, call them the next day and act like it's the most important package/delivery in the world. If you watched the movie inception, try plant a idea and let them call you. Works for me.
