I think blackhat karma caught up with me.

If you believe in karma, its gonna fuck with your head...
If you don't, your good...

Its all in the head

Sorry bout the loss...inspiring me to backing up more...

I don't believe in karma, but i do believe things hit you harder when it's your turn on the end of the stick and you start thinking about those people you screwed before :D

I must admit I pissed off a lot of people while blackhatting. I wasted people's time, got them to download adware, lied to them, sold them shitty products, reuploaded their work and redirected their traffic my way, abused their mistakes and caused various affiliates a lot of problems. The other day somebody decided to wipe out all my servers. CDP failed and for the last few days I was scrapping all the content I could from Google cache. All my databases are gone including various lists and whitehat user generated content that I have been working on for 7 years. I'm not really a full time cunt to people, just when it came to blackhat and I saw some potential for a profit. I think I even deserved it...

This kinda made me self reflect and look back at all this shit I've done. Hmmm... Do you believe in karma? Do you ever feel guilty for blackhatting?

Depends on how you spend the $money$. If you are feeding your family, then I will give you 2 thumbs up. My dad will rather allow the family to starve than c stuffing.

fuck karma.
When you fuck 'karma', you also fuck yourself. That's how it works and why it works without fail.
What goes around, comes around. You can run but you can't hide... because how would you go about hiding from yourself exactly?

The world does not condemn us, we have ultimate free will.

Some of us eventually sober up from such ignorant, spoilt and childish ideas and acknowledge that in the end, it is us, who in some all too common tragically foolish fashion have condemned ourselves.

I know this only all too well. Been there done that, will likely do it again. Many times.

Don't feel guilty or shameful though. This only serves as a mechanism to breed more downtrodden thought, which ensures negative choices and results resurface.

Vicious circles and bad habits anyone?

Know the choice is there as pristine as it was the first time you came to it:
Leave ego behind. Reach and strive for virtuous spirals or...
jump into the den and see how long you last before you come round and hit yourself full in the face again.

How many lifetimes will the lesson take? ;)

One last thing: goodies and baddies are an invention and used as a shorthand in unsophisticated storytelling.
Life is mostly far more complex and fuzzy.
Only the protagonist (YOU) really comprehends whether the intent behind your actions was noble or otherwise, even when to an outsider the actions can seem the opposite.
Equally you can also be the best liar and use this argument to attempt to sneak past yourself.

Ultimately you know what you're doing, and so does it really matter if anyone else sees you or doesn't see what you're up to?

Let me make a point

blackhatting is different from stealing.

"the sun shines on the good and the bad" is unfortunately the truth
You could say that on the good it makes their crops ripen. As in they'll have invested their time in setting things up so that the sun is a gift.
On the bad it ripens only the memories of the previous days misdeeds.

Guess which taste sweeter to the soul?

Yep, not universally the case, but this is a level of detail not covered by that rather simplistic and not altogether complete statement. Though yes it is clear what it is getting at.

I'm not against being a rebel and a thorn in the side of society. I'm just against people who don't understand what they are fucking with being misled to it is a 'best option'.
When it is more like a very very risky investment, essentially guaranteed to end in tears the longer you stay in it.

live by the sword die by the sword is by contrast a sufficiently detailed prediction of how things go down in the end.

when i did clickfraud sometimes back and earn me some money. I really felt bad about that. But i have to feed myself.

I agree with someone said karma is in your head. If you believe it is, it is. If you don't, forget about it, move on, live mind-free.

Sorry about your loss.

LOL...Karma is a fuking joke.

If it was true, Ge0rge 8ush wud be long gone
hahah

Bad things happen to good people. Bad guys get lucky. And everything in between.

IMO, all you can do is try to be a better, more honest person than you were yesterday.

ok i feel the same way when something like this happens to me.... but the next day m ok... :D

n yes i do believe in karma... n i try to keep my work as white hat as possible but sometimes u just have to give in! just keep yourself in your mind ethically clear.. life would be a lot easier then! :)

I do not really understand why so many people believe in Karma or whatever nonsense. I believe it can be seen as a means of personal redemption. You are good to be "credited" in return by the Universe. Whenever you see injustice, you say: "I cannot do anything about this, but [luckily enough] the Universe will unfold itself in manner which will punish this injustice."
Sorry people, but this is stupid: the Universe couldn't give a rat's ass about your good or bad doings, it is neutral. Whenever you believe otherwise, you are not talking about nature, but God, and I find this hypocritical that people who call themselves atheists believe in karma.

I dont believe i am hurting or robbing people with my online work.

And i believe in karma so i gues im good hehe :D

Karma, maybe not. But if you piss off enough people, eventually you are going to piss off the wrong guy. Which is what you did.

There is no such thing as Karma, otherwise the world would be in a perfect balance of equality. Unfortunately, that is not the case. It took a 20 dollar gun to kill our most loved president. A box cutter to start an attack that killed over 1,000 people. And where is bin ladin? Hiding.

Trust me, the laws of physics still apply to everyone, even if they're committing sinful acts of violence.

To answer your question, I never feel guilty, because I never do anything wrong :) The worst I do is Zango ads. Most of my campaigns and ideas are whitehat at heart, but use blackhat technology to get high in google, get traffic, etc.

Sorry to hear about your situation man :( 7 years of work on a list! Ouch! You must not of made any backups :( Good luck too you.

U have already answered the question :) Yes there is karma.

What we doing or having NOW is what we did in our previous life.

As long as you yourself dont think your doing anything wrong then your Karma will be fine ;)

If Karma is based around anything its self judgement. If you can live with it then cool you wont be obliged to punish yourself in the future (although not intentionally) I dont think there is an outside force determining right or wrong. Alot of the time personal ethics mirror societies ethics of the given time period.
