As you can see, I was able to rank for the most competitive keyword within the internet marketing world.

Here Are The 3 Things That Need To Be In Place For You To Rank A Highly Competitive Keyword:

  • On-Page Optimization (Title, description box and Tags)
  • Drip-Feed Of Links + 3-4 Senuke Link Pyramids (Monty Template modified)
  • Distribution Of Retention Views (80-100%), Likes, Subscribers and Comments

Keep in mind that you want this distribution to look natural (like a mini-viral campaign)
For example, if you send 10,000 retention views to the video, make sure the likes, subscribers, comments and back-links are coming in at the same time. Although I have tested this and found that you won't get penalized not doing it this way, the results are better if you do.

I want to mention that, when going after these big keywords, it is important to keep back-linking. I have tried it without consistently sending back-links and usually I noticed my rankings fluctuate because of it. (Note: This only applies to Google rankings, you will still be on the first page of YouTube Guaranteed)
That being said, for low to medium competitive keywords, after your initial mini viral campaign, the rankings will stick. All you would have to do is maybe send a link pyramid to them once in a while to make sure. Of course you can keep building links until you rank #1 and then back off a bit. Totally up to you.

How Many Views,Likes,Subs, Comments and Backlinks Do I Need To Get Consistent Results?

I have tested numerous videos and I found the following to be helpful:

- You can hit the first page of YouTube with 5000-10,000 views (Guaranteed top 5 rankings with over 10,000 views IF all the other aspects are in place)

- I have videos with 40 likes and some with 100+ likes (doesn't make too much of a difference)

- 40-100 Subs are more then necessary (remember, you are trying to rank your video, don't over think things too much)

- Comments don't even matter to be honest (they might matter more for conversions but I will leave that for another post)

- The more back-links the better. I have noticed great results after 7000+ back-links for all my videos. As of right now I have not noticed a difference when I send higher Pr+ links vs. any link I can get (NOTE: DO NOT spam your videos with scarepbox. This is the one thing that doesn't work. You want lots of links, but you want variety.Blasting with scrapebox will get you nowhere, you have been warned.)

- Lastly, sending social bookmarks has always helped boost a videos rankings. However, I see people blasting their videos with social bookmarks and complaining that they aren't ranking. Get a variety and put all the things I talked about into place as a mini-viral campaign. After that you can send some bookmarks or link pyramids here and there to boost your video.

Hope you guys enjoyed this and hit me up with any questions either in the thread.

Good post OP. Added Thanks and Rep.

Do you use Senuke for all you backinks? I once tried to rank a video and did 2 senuke blast, got my video to the 3rd page but that was it. It didn't move after that despite doing more blast. My tags and video description were good. So don't know what I did wrong.

Thanks for posting this! I've done some searching on the topic just now, but can you mention some tips about where to get the traffic, what sources you use?

Thanks a ton for your help!

I am still reading about how to rank videos but what is a real problem for me is how to find right keyword / niches with friendly competition and monetization.
I know how to do research for SEO websites with GKT but i cant find how to do it for YouTube beacuse YKT is really crap.

Yeah that video is number one when I search! Are you sure it is your video lol? You must be making so much $$

You said not to blast with scrapebox, which I understand, but you make 7k blacklinks still? What kind of links do you build in that volume?

Thanks for the rep, it's appreciated :)

No I don't use Senuke only. To be honest I play around with my videos all the time.

I use GSA to drip-feed 50-100 links a day to all my videos, then I blast them accordingly with Senuke when I send them more views/likes/subs etc.

Also, Sometimes I run Senuke with PR1+ links over 2 weeks with a heavily modded link pyramid.

On top of that I will also use scrapebox for tier 2's and 3's and I will also buy bulk social bookmarks when I feel I need to bump my video.

It would do you good if you set-up another small viral campaign and kept building back-links. Also test with sending some social bookmarks as well. (make all of this go together at the same time for best results)

Are you ranking on the first page of youtube?

I actually use a lot of sources, it's best to try out a few and develop relationships.

The reason this is important is because I don't want every video getting 10,000+ views right away.

Some videos I target are smaller and a smarter niche, so I concentrate building high quality comments and a high ratio of likes/views for perceived authority.

Check out some of the BST services here, can't really go wrong :)

Hope that helps, and don't worry I will be putting up more specific videos showing this stuff in the future!

Hey j4nosik, I showed in the video that it doesn't matter what the competition is.

The whole point is that I see these guys, make a video send a few thousand views to it, send 1 senuke blast and then complain about not ranking.

Most guys who try to rank videos, do exactly what I just explained.

When you come in and you build consistent links plus you synchronize views, likes, subs, comments and backlinks, your video will skyrocket. Now all you have to do is keep building back-links and you will now naturally receive views.

My best advice is to not overthink it too much, because 1 video can rank for multiple keywords. Pick a great product, see what are the most popular keywords in the keyword tool and then test out what I explained.

Main takeaway: don't over-think and just do it :)

lmao... imagine it wasn't my video ahahah

All kinds of links as mentioned in the video. I always blast away when I am sending tons of views, likes, subs and comments. Then once I am getting natural traffic I slow down the link building to anywhere from 50-100 per day (this way the views and links look natural).

7k was just a number I threw out. I was stating that at around 7k backlinks most of my videos do very well. You can have less and still rank, so don't worry too much about it.

I was thinking about ranking youtube videos for awhile now, but was never fully committed to it. After reading/watching your strategy I'll just have try harder and stay committed. Really useful insight, thanks The-Truth.

Great video, thanks for sharing!

Quick question:

I have a video ranking No.1 for a low competition keyword on YouTube. I'm looking to have my video appearing on the first page of Google for that very keyword as well.

So should I send backlinks directly to the URL of my YouTube video, or should I send those backlinks to a blog post or some other page that is linking to my video?

Thanks in advance and congratulations on your success!

No worries at all :)

It's not about trying harder, I can literally rank top 5 of youtube for any keyword within 2-3 days as of now.

All it comes down to is actually synchronizing what needs to happen to pull of a mini-viral campaign.

The best thing you can do is make one video and do what I outlined. This will get you results and you will re-wire your brain because you will see what's possible.

Good luck and let me know when you rank that first video!

If you are looking to rank your video, then send the back-links directly to your video.

NOTE: DO NOT by any means send these types of back-links to your blog if you want it to rank. SEO for sites is vastly different from SEO to YouTube videos.

That being said, putting your video onto your blog will help it rank better.

just wondering how much money you invest on each campaign? especially profitable niches?

this looks interesting..

Do you use 301 services for backlinking or just point it to your main youtube url? Like bit.ly or youtu.be
