In my opinion info graphics are indeed worth it to readers especially to those who doesn't want to read long content posts just like me. Sometimes I lack of enthusiast when reading long content but when the info graph gets my attention I can't hold back not to read it even though I'm not interested on that certain topic.
if its for the user then yes...
I actually go onto a lot of the selling threads here just because I want to see what their sales infographic looks like.
Definitely makes everything more engaging for your audience
To me, the biggest value of an infographic, beyond user engagement, beyond direct traffic, beyond backlinks, is BRAND AWARENESS. Make the infographic, and be sure to note exactly where it came from. If that thing goes viral, your brand's name is going to be in front of a ton of eyeballs. If you're in it for the long haul, it may not convert for you immediately (though in some cases it will), but over time if someone comes across your site in the future, they might just remember you as the guys that made that neat graphic. Do a few of them, and your name will really stick.
Of course, the quality of the infographic would be a big factor, but have any of you ever gone to the trouble to create one or paid someone to create one for you?
Was it worth it? Would you do it again?
Thanks in advance!
