How To Hide Bad Google Places Reviews

Ah good to hear that.

What was the solution to the problem (including steps?)

I don't actually have an issue with bad reviews on my business. I was just wondering how others were hiding theirs.
I solved the problem now however.

Keeping the moral argument aside, google does not let every review go public immediately. I was trying to do a reputation management campaign for a client, and working with a VPN, we could hardly get reviews go live. We did this in bulk before, but didn't work recently; maybe some change to a spam filter.

The same right that gives him and everyone else to attack mine.

If you haven't noticed, its a cut throat world out there and no one is getting ahead by being nice.
There is no "the same right" because no one has the right to attack a business with lies. Some people's sense of entitlement is astounding. You can get ahead without lying about your competition.

Even if he was flagging my bad reviews I figured that just "hides" them from the page and doesn't physically delete them. So if you log back into your Google account, you will still see your negative review. What you need to do in order to make it stick is to edit it slightly and re-publish it. When you re-publish it, make sure you share it publicly on Google Plus.

Unless he launches a legal complaint with Google, it can't be flagged anymore.

Normally I would have left the issue alone but this creep had to go and open his mouth. I found out what he said through the grapevine and it was no truer than what I'm writing about him.
He wants to talk smack about the big boys, now he'll have to play ball with the big boys.

In every aspect of life falsely taking others down to move forward is not the best option.

Blackhat IM isn't necessarily honest either. Just because you're not doing something directly wrong to someone, doesn't make it any more correct than what I'm doing.

I love how some people suddenly have a moral high ground on the occasional posts like this. Yet, SMS spamming is acceptable, email spamming is acceptable blah blah blah. If you people don't like what he is doing then just move onto the next thread ...

How is email spamming any different from direct mail advertisements? How does sms spamming take food out of the mouths of children because their parent's livelihood has suffered? I don't see the comparison.
