I had a turtle when I was 6 years old. He's not with us anymore :(

I use to have one of these when I was a little kid.

S6ghr

We found him on the side of the road one day, and picked him up. (Imagine being a little kid, and riding down the street with family, and seeing a turtle half the size of the hood of your truck trying to walk across the street). He was huge. He ate a dozen Minnows
every day. Loggerhead snapping turtles are native to lousiana and east texas, and are relatives of the loggerhead sea turtle. Loggerhead snapping turtles can grow to be the size of a volkswagon beetle

P.S. After about 2 weeks, I earned his trust and was able to pet him on the head. He actually would hold his head out tilted a little letting me know that he wanted me to pet him :)

I like turtles, i will get one myself in a soon future :)

Had two bearded dragons. The first one I got as a hatchling from a reptile expo. Sadly he died about 4 years later due to an aggressive and rare disease. Then I inherited the other beardy from a family member who got one because of mine. He had started showing the same symptoms of the disease as the other, so we had to give him to someone more experienced. Turns out it's caused by the sand used if I recall. He lived.

Want another beardy, or a tegu.

I love reptiles. I love Austin Stevens's documentaries, even if he is often ridiculous. And I bred snakes and other terrarium animals but not anymore

I love them only in the park :-) I get goosebumps when I look at their skin, errrrr...

Reptiles are scary :(

Alot of people are scared of reptiles. I love them. Actually, I never really thought about it until this thread, but I have had pet snakes, turtles, frogs, lizards, salamanders (which are like a snake and lizard cross). I think the coolest thing about reptiles is the fact that they are the closest thing to dinosaurs that we have left. Actually, some scientists believe that they were here and never became extinct. Pretty cool to think about :)

I love iguanas but i've never actually owned one. My grandfather had one and I would play with it when I was younger. Total badass.

Always been a fan of snakes since i was a kid. Used to have 7 of them, until one got out and wove itself into a rug. We had to take a knife and cut the threads in the rug to get him out. Snakes got the ban hammer from my wife after the damage to that rug.

My favorite was a Ball Python, and I had a reticulated one once too. Retics are sort of aggressive, so when the kids came along I had to part with him.

I once caught a grasshopper and put it into the aquarium with a yellow speckled king snake for dinner. Next day, the snake was belly up, and the grasshopper was unhurt.

I took the grasshopper back to where I found him and let him go. I figured whatever God had planned for that grasshopper to do, I had best not interfere with.

I see many reptiles lovers here :)

Should have kept the grasshopper as your pet instead. Only the fittest survive.

Have kept herps my entire life. I used to be big into Iguanas but now I keep beardies.
