There's a way to get links blocked from the robots as well.
@OP, if you can send me the details I'd be glad to take a look at it.
Can you please supply some typical examples to those of us less technically savvy ?!
TIA,

This is the most likely scenario. My clients are starting to do block backlink tracking bots.
Black hat techniques still works but you must have to do it with complete diversity...
hmmm,.... can you bring some examples?
thx.
I have blasted random aged domain with 500K AA blog comments to see if it will get penalized or it will improve its rankings.
For first 1 week it went to hell (from 12th spot to 80+) and it stayed there. Few days ago it got back and now it is 8th not moving at all.
Its not about if method is WH or BH - its about how you use it and how unique the technique is. You cant expect to buy $20 service and get great results with same-o same-o AMR/Senuke/UD blasts that 80% marketers/service sellers use atm.
You can find handful services that are unique and still work charms on this forum like Q&As, Manual Commenting, Blog Posting, Private and small blog networks, highly diversified social campaigns...
There is too many copy cats lately that just wait for someone to post a method so they can rape it for weeks and then complaint whole method was killed by Google... Unfortunately this is the reason of SEO getting more and more expensive.
Thanks for the info. Last year I had the luck with an 9 year old domain, which I ref-stats spammed and autoblogged, to get between 100-500 bucks a month from GA. I was really lukky with that! But big aunt G, screwed me and after trying to buy some services here my ad$en$e was completely killed by Google and the site went down in the SERPS anyway.
I am looking for some technical things like the old 302-hijacking or any bh htacess methods to go the blackhat way.
I couldn't find real actual info here.
Well lots of people switched to micro blog networks lately - on BHW this is not much popular yet, but on other forums it is renaissance. 100 high quality blogs with aged domains, high PR and unique IPs/Platforms is all there is need to rank site as long as OBL is low... Price is high for those though as providers mostly get only handful customers to keep the network as private as possible.
Honestly, I have been moving out of SEO because of all the stupid algo updates but I stuck it out on a few sites and it's paying off.
Just looked at another niche and the top website is not showing a single link in ahrefs. Perhaps the suggestions from this thread are correct and they are blocking crawlers?
