i hate making money!

this looks like a cool thing but if you have the time and money its def wiser to make ur own blog net

I've actually got both. My own network runs to about 120 sites, but you soon fill that up if you're not promoting too many sites. Something like this gives you more variety.

Team74, what is the difference between SEO fightback and Linkauthority. Linkauthority needs 200 and more words. Also, they have unique IPs (I think so). The network is made up of people adding their blogs into the network. They don't post everyday to the sites in their network, out of 10 articles, I think 1 article contains no link in it. The only thing I don't like it that some people allow their blogs to expire, which I think also do happen in SEO fightback.

Most important, Link authority is free. I am not complaining about the money, I just need something that works. I was a member of BMR from Sept 2010 till it died.

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. I hope you got my PM on the other forum explaining why I couldn't do much work this weekend.

I don't like it when competitors bad mouth eachother, I think it's very unprofessional so I'll be respectful. Well, the 2 are very different. Link Authority is a blog network, and SEO Fight Back is a blog network platform, where members can make their own networks, and join multiple niche specific networks. Link Authority is one network, SEO Fight Back is many. We have niche specific networks, and also allow co-ops and private networks (not listed).

We use a plugin, and Link Authority uses XML-RPC. We use a plugin because it allows much more control, such as user being able to delete their own posts and links if they've made a mistake, or the blog gets de-indexed. So, this means we're prepared if the worst ever happens!

There are theoretical downsides to using a plugin, but we've we've solved those issues:

In theory there could be a footprint. - We don't have any css/html/javascript footprints, and the plugin folder cannot be pinged either. It means no one knows the plugin is there.
There is upkeep because you have to update the plugin with new version - We have 100% fully automated plugin updating, so you don't need to update it.

Link authority also deletes links from some of the posts that are posted. We don't destroy people's work because we think there are other ways to lessen OBL profiles. Both LA and SEOFB require unique content and I think it would be annoying to make a great post, only to find your links are not there and you've basically done that work for nothing.

I can't do an exhaustive comparison, because both services are very different from eachother. But the last thing I will say is that SEO Fight Back doesn't have a single point of entry, which is already covered a lot on this thread. It basically means it would be much hard for Google to take down manually.

I am quite interested in this. But, the bold part is causing a bit of hesitation in me. Also, each article will be approved before getting posted. What if it takes way too long to get approved? I know you approve sites and posts in your network much quicker, but what if I want to get into other networks which match my niche but don't match any of your networks.

Also, is it possible for me to get into invite-only networks?

I read in one of your posts which said copyscape API is needed for sites to get approved. I am aware of the free copyscape web service. Do I have to pay any monthly fees to get the copyscape API?

So far this service is ok but still a lot of work to be done. Networks are small - content added is low-quality and there are just not enough members yet that the same sites keep getting promoted. Also the time it takes to get a site approved can be days so you sit there getting nothing for your money waiting for someone to add your site.
I know this is going to be a great service but it needs a lot more members or sites. I am going to stick with it for another month or two but for the $$ it should be better

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you, I spent Halloween etc with my family in a different city.

Actually, with the exceptiion of a couple of times (twice maybe) I've always approved sites to my networks within 24 hours. I usually work 7 days per week (2 half days in there) so I get round to it pretty fast.

BUT, all members can make networks. So I can't guarantee how long it will take them to approve sites you submit to other members' networks.

Copyscape is needed for some networks, and you can buy 200 searches for $10 I think. There is no monthly fee. Check their website :)

We're opening a new membership level in the next few days, it will be a cheaper "starter" package, allowing for 10 sites to be entered into the system, which means you can post around 600-900 articles per month, which is still pretty good!

team74, how's the stick rate so far for the blogs? How many are currently alive versus those that are deindexed?

I am interested in cheaper version. Also, can we just buy a domain (fresh, new) set up custom WP and add to the network? Is any social bookmark or link building done to the posts submitted?

i ve just come across this and it looks really interesting. im going to join!

Cool!

We've only had 3 blogs deindexed (from 1400+, 600 in semi-private networks), and that was because they were ASEO hosting, nothing to do with us. They all had the same nameservers. I did warn everyone!

Yes that setup would be ok for the semi-private networks although your chances of getting into the PR2+ networks won't be as good. I feel that you should backlink your backlinks anyway, that's sort of standard practice for us anyway.

Thank for pm, cannot reply as I do not have enough post, maybe an xrumer blast here to make up the count:)))
I signed up.
Just came into my mind that a social interface would be great. What I mean?
Everybody would create an account on bigger social sites (FB, Twitter, G+1 etc...) and tag, bookmark, like OTHER'S links. If you are/your blog in for example IM niche, then you can share every and any posts what IS NOT in the IM niche. You make one share then you get 1 share. If you share more, then your posts get more share's.
This way the blogs would get very diverse and natural social signals and also the links would be stronger as well. Also even harder to detect as network.
What do you think about this?

That's a complicated idea, it would require a whole new system! Plus, wouldn't that mean the same social account are linking to multiple network sites or am I misunderstanding something?

Curious how many adult themed networks you have and how many blogs are in them? Will give it a try if there's reasonable participation. Thanks

Aye, you're right. It would need a system and if only the networks would bookmarked only than that would be a problem. Sorry, wrong idea I see now.

Im writing this review, not because anyone asked me too, but because i'm seeing amazing results and thought you should know.

So far i have submitted around 5 pages x 25 articles but that's out of the norm i think. I'm pushing at least 5 different websites in very competitive niches.

A year ago i was on page 1 for a very competitive keyword and stayed there till April of this year. Panda hit multiple times then came Penguin and i slowly dropped down to page 4. I tried literally everything and could not get my listing to move from page 4. It even dropped as low as page 6 and i thought eventually it would vanish. I bought a bunch of services from the buy/sell thread and those only kept me hovering. Then i decided to try FBN. After about 5 weeks of submitting articles and links i am now back on page 1 position 8 and i don't believe i could have gotten there any other way other than using FBN. A year ago the search results were 20million. Right now the search results are 61million. Just to give you some idea of how competitive this keyword is. At the same time, im pushing 4 or 5 other websites and my results are amazing. I have multiple listings on page 1, 2, 4 and below and they are moving upwards daily. If you haven't joined yet, im wondering what your waiting for? Take the trial and see for yourself. The only way you can go right now is UP. And if you were hit by Penguin, you should be able to get your rankings back quickly using FBN and some dilution of your anchor. Good luck to all!

Thank you for answering the questions which have in this thread over the past few weeks. One question I have, which I did not see asked so far, relates to your allowing people to submit their feeder blog sites to various categories. Obviously, this is great for those who target national/generic keyword phrases in a specific niche.

If I want to help some clients at the local level in a particular top US city, across multiple industries, what do you suggest for the proper category to submit that first feeder site? For example, I will want to begin the process of building links for clients in different categories for phrases like:
plumber CityName
things to do CityName
tax returns CityName

While I understand that good quality citations, optimized Places listings, reviews, social media endorsements and links from local authority sites are becoming increasingly important, I still want some great links which I can scale to boost exposure in the organic results. Do you suggest creating my own network inside your platform or is there a preferred category to submit for these clients across multiple niches such as a "Local" category?

Thank you for helping out a rookie member of this forum!

We don't have any at the moment but I'm going to build one because I get asked this all the time.

To be honest with you I would just hit the niche. You don't need to get city specific. We have nicehs like home/construction and professional/real estate/law.

From what I've seen, Google often shows blended results for local search. This mean "normal" SEO works more than ever for Places listings.

Thanks for the feedback! I will be joining shortly and following your suggestions in this thread.

I pretty much agree with everything he says - here's some screenshots. The first shows a 1,220,000 keyword and the second shows a 18,000 keyword. So as you can see this system works for the harder keywords too. I joined the network in september and as you can see the second keyword took a bit of a hit on april 24. it didn't dissapperar totally, so I can't say what will happen to those, but from where I'm sitting it's a prety good system.
