Team74, what is the difference between SEO fightback and Linkauthority. Linkauthority needs 200 and more words. Also, they have unique IPs (I think so). The network is made up of people adding their blogs into the network. They don't post everyday to the sites in their network, out of 10 articles, I think 1 article contains no link in it. The only thing I don't like it that some people allow their blogs to expire, which I think also do happen in SEO fightback.
Most important, Link authority is free. I am not complaining about the money, I just need something that works. I was a member of BMR from Sept 2010 till it died.
Hi, sorry for the delayed response. I hope you got my PM on the other forum explaining why I couldn't do much work this weekend.
I don't like it when competitors bad mouth eachother, I think it's very unprofessional so I'll be respectful. Well, the 2 are very different. Link Authority is a blog network, and SEO Fight Back is a blog network platform, where members can make their own networks, and join multiple niche specific networks. Link Authority is one network, SEO Fight Back is many. We have niche specific networks, and also allow co-ops and private networks (not listed).
We use a plugin, and Link Authority uses XML-RPC. We use a plugin because it allows much more control, such as user being able to delete their own posts and links if they've made a mistake, or the blog gets de-indexed. So, this means we're prepared if the worst ever happens!
There are theoretical downsides to using a plugin, but we've we've solved those issues:
In theory there could be a footprint. - We don't have any css/html/javascript footprints, and the plugin folder cannot be pinged either. It means no one knows the plugin is there.
There is upkeep because you have to update the plugin with new version - We have 100% fully automated plugin updating, so you don't need to update it.
Link authority also deletes links from some of the posts that are posted. We don't destroy people's work because we think there are other ways to lessen OBL profiles. Both LA and SEOFB require unique content and I think it would be annoying to make a great post, only to find your links are not there and you've basically done that work for nothing.
I can't do an exhaustive comparison, because both services are very different from eachother. But the last thing I will say is that SEO Fight Back doesn't have a single point of entry, which is already covered a lot on this thread. It basically means it would be much hard for Google to take down manually.
