I honestly think that the Internet is the last place for truly free speech. Every year, we lose more and more rights to move and speak freely on the Internet. It's the nature of government to create regulation and laws to take control from people. The Internet we know today will someday be a thing of the past.

That day will come sooner than most people think.

ALL of this nonsense is just a way to destroy the growth of the internet, the internet is one of those miraculous things that caught the world by surprise ; it all came and grew so quick and now the old dinosaurs in power are scrambling to stifle it, and they're doing it fast

There is a fine line between free speech and acts of incitement. Burning a poppy would encourage parties on both side of the line to confront each other.

Sadly what I have learned along my journey is about 99% of people who spend lots of time "posting" on F.B., Twitter, just generally trolling the Net all day/night are complete idiots who aren't even worth knowing.

It has everything to do with freedom of speech, actually. Whether you like it or not. Which is the point: Freedom to 'offend' with or without a grander purpose.
