Hi Folks,
I've been promoting a dating program via CJ for just over a month.
I promote other dating programs with other networks, all my traffic/leads are legit.
A short while into promoting this program I got an email from the advertiser stating that their tracking would be down for a period of time, and anyone who continued to send traffic would be paid at their current EPC, so I decided to keep sending traffic. Their tracking was down for a week or two I think.
Then CJ placed a hold on my account and asked why they weren't seeing my refering URL's, I explained that I route my traffic via a php script and I gave them the links to my landing pages. Next email from them said that hiding referer is against their terms of service and I have to show them, and that the advertiser is converting me to pay per sale as my leads aren't converting.
I think this is BS, my leads convert just fine elsewhere, and their tracking was down for almost half of the time period in question.
They're holding almost $1200 in commission, and thats not counting the period which wasn't tracked.
Can anyone advise on this ? Will they pay the commission outstanding and then convert to PPS, or will this be wiped ?

How long has it been? After a while if they do not respond you can kiss that money goodbye. You would've went with a CPA company instead. I suggest to talk to them on the phone instead of sending them emails.

They are responding, the email stating I'm being converted to PPS was today.

CJ Support is good, they helped me all the time. first i was banned bud i get my account back + the money so its fair, it was my own fault :)

There has been an increasing amount of complaints about CJ on this and other forums. They have always been good but there appears to be some issues. I suggest you talk with your AM and ask these questions. I would appreciate you report back on your success as there are quite a few watching these posts at the moment. Give them the benefit of doubt but I would stop sending traffic till resolved but you DO need to talk with them and hear their side and when & if they are going to pay you

Yeah I stopped sending traffic as soon as my commission was placed on hold. ;)

To update, they've stated that there will be no reversal, i.e I'll be paid what I'm owed to date and for the time which wasn't tracked, and they have been good at responding and answering my questions.
Little perplexed though as they're saying that the reason I'm being bumped to PPS is that I've generated no sales, my stats clearly show otherwise, and at a rate that other networks would consider acceptable. So not sure what's going on there, awaiting their response on this.

Overall, despite this problem, I'd say CJ offer good support, and they plan to pay me so that boosts them a considerable amount in my book.. ;)

CJ is a great network and always pays. Glad to see that you are getting paid. :)

Glad to hear your update, I am about to send some traffic through CJ but was thinking twice when I read your original post.

I do prefer CPA networks but CJ has all the big name brand affiliates so sometimes you have to push them since that's what people recognize.

I've had a hell of a time with CJ. Whoever answers my emails is a real dick. I haven't been paid dating back to November. There last reply said they would release my money only if I sent more traffic! Is the economy really that bad now? You have to take accounts and hold them hostage for more traffic?

CJ is sad. I just kissed my money good bye and moved on.

Just file in small claims court, they will definitely pay you to go away.

Nah fuck that, they're doing the same with me too right now. Telling me the publisher needs to send funds so cj can pay me. What a joke.

We have rights to take them to court on this?

That's sad, tell them that u will take this matter on public forums and will show everyone proofs (their claims, emails and your account proof) + if that doesn't solve your matter you will then take the claim to court.

I did the same to clickbooth when they hold my payment and guess what? I got paid in 2 hours :p

What they are saying is that the free leads don't convert to paid sign-ups for them. This could be due to your traffic technique or due to their crappy converting site or a combo. If it converts for another site then just promote that one and drop the one on CJ.

I ve never trusted them forever seeing bad feedback , but then again ive never tried them so i will one day and judge them then!

But why do we have to worry about converting. Our job is to bring the people to signup and that's what we signup for.

Now in my case, I got banned because I put an adult site but I have never put CJ ads on it. Still my fault. However, I e-mailed and no response.
I applied with different e-mail address but the same name and got accepted again in a span of only a week (this week).
Would/Could they still ban my new account? Old account had 100+ and gone. fockers.

My free leads are converting to sales though.
The last email said I had generated no sales, whilst my stats show that I have.

Sorry to hear about you guys not being paid, they haven't paid me yet, and I wont fully trust that they're going to, until it's in my hand.
