Could someone help me with keywords

I am trying to build my keywords in adwords and seems like i am paying way too much for amount of clicks I get.
Today I spent $15 already for about 35 clicks. I was wondering if restructuring keywords could benefit me and would stretch my dollar.
My business is hard to compete in and all the keywords that I could come up with are usually above .50 a bid. If you have any tips or tricks with customizing my campaign please reply back.
Also is it better if I leave search location to United States(country) or should i try to do specific states? I provide automotive LED and HID kits for cars like Audi BMW VW and seems like my target audience would be all over US tho.

Any help would be appreciated.

CPC depends on the industry. I have a client who pays over $30 per click and is getting almost all of their traffic through PPC. It's not about the amount per click, it's about your ROI. How much do you need to spend in order to remain profitable? Find out how to spend less than that and you'll make money. The biggest keywords are always the most expensive, so start slow with long tail keywords.

As soon as you can, invest in SEO for long term free traffic.

Exactly i agree what he said above, you need to find the low paying keywords that targets your business.

use the search button for Keyword Research tutorials (it's not something you can learn from one reply !) , or outsource
keyword research .

Hi, go to google keyword tool, pick a word with low completion, and with no lower then 1000 searches , then take the keyword place in the google search box in quotations to get the results if the results are 100,000 or less then that's a good keywords.

keywords is one of the most important you must research it very well

I'm getting pretty frustrated with Adwords... Yesterday keyword "E39 Interior LED" was at 0.65 and I was getting 1-2 position of the ad and today its telling me that its at $3.25 WTF? Most of my keywords are in red now and are above $2 mark when they were bellow .70 cents few days ago.
