I know that was suppose to be a joke, but not the best judgement on timing. I'm not criticizing you because there is nothing wrong with humor, but there are peoples lives in danger.

The worst thing that is a possibility is the cold front hitting the hurricane and getting cold enough to snow.I think 1 inch of rain equals 1 foot of snow,so do the math.If this happens they call it the perfect storm and could drop 6 feet of snow in some places..let's hope that does not happen.

Not sure what new you're watching but here in SoCal, all I see from CNN to Weather Channel to even LOCAL news, they are on this non-stop and are making it clear that everyone takes this seriously.
I even saw Christies' full news conference yesterday.

Good wishes to everyone in it's path.
 
For all those folks in South Jersey, stay safe and hope this storm get's clam before coming to our shore. I live in Egg Harbor Township, NJ only 30 minutes from the shore, and I hoping this storm doesn't do much damage, although that may be a lie. Today's the last day, so get stuff for your loves one and be safe.
 
We have friends and family out in NY too. Stay safe BHW friends! In our thoughts and prayers.

I did not take offence to it but I agree it was borderline. Anyone who has been in a bad storm knows its nothing to take lightly.
 
I just found out my family is in the evacuation zone. I am about 1 block away from it as well. We could all use some prayers right now. I will do my best to keep people updated if anyone has any interest.

I live in London, Ontario. Not too sure how crazy it's going to hit here but either way anyone nearby should be prepared. They are saying everyone should be prepared for 3 days worth of food/water/whatever else you need. Flashlights might be a good idea as well. Wishing everyone a safe week while this thing comes through.

Yes this is going to be major I know this from the email I got from my VPS provider who have servers in NYSE equinix facility, it is one of the most solid server centers in the world because of the reliance on financial sector and even they warned that they are doing the best to get 'extra power provisions and backups' because they must be told of huge power outages. Hope for the best for all the people caught up in this.

I literally laughed out laud.. damn near lmfao

I have lived in NY (Brooklyn) my whole child hood / half of adult hood. Have Friends and family there. I have lived in Florida the time i haven't lived in NY and have weathered plenty of BAD storms. I still think that was hilarious. And so does the two New Yorkers and one friend from fl. ppl lighting the fluck up..
