I am fairly new on BHW but have been in the IM game for a few years, making a few quid along the way. My problem is it has all be unsustainable, and falls off as various loopholes are closed and then I have to look out a new system/program/method.
I am currently getting into the list building game as I see it as "untouchable" by outside forces, e.g. google, facebook, twitter, CL, ebay...no once can ruin my income stream. I fully expect this to take years, as opposed to weeks and months.
However, I do have a reasonable amount of cash available, and one thing I am also looking at it site buying. i.e. sites that have monthly recurring income that should eventually pay for themselves and leave me with monthly profit plus a valuable website.
However, having spent some time researching it seems there are a substantial amount of scammers out there, and methods to create fake earnings, fake traffic, fake alexa, fake PR and fake every thing else.
So I am asking if anyone out there with significant buying experience can give me some pointers.
1. What sort of monthly multiple should I be looking to pay?
2. How can I confirm earnings claims?
3. What is the best way to pay, bearing in mind id like my money back if i do get scammed?
4. I dont know much about SEO, so what prevents a site with a good listing getting a google slap the week after I buy it?
5. Anything else obvious I have missed
Two last things...I'm technically incapable of updating these sites to any significant degree, and I dont particularly want to get involved in adsense sites as google sux.
Any advice greatly appreciated
