We need to have a seperate section for under 18's

OK i love this forum a great deal and whatever will help us progress even more is always welcome. But i think there are lots of "Kids" here who behave better than the so-called adults. On a public forum like this you will always get those who will do anything (even downright stupid) to get noticed or get their post count inflated.

So what am i saying? We should treat the issue of younger members with a way forward in mind and not just see them as "little kids who seem to be all of a sudden running it" Even if we manage to get them out and it make it "adults" only. Will it stop the annoying fights, useless posts, irrelevant threads right and left? NO

So i propose we deal with a member as they present themselves because there is an adage which says that " a child who has washed his hands is allowed to feast with the elders"

As a long time lurker, I see this forum is becoming more and more just like the blackhat version of "digitalpoint". There is alot of immature kids and people in here.

Even though a "adult only section" most likely will not be created, to people who say don't discourage "young ones from makin money because a few of them are the future millionaires"
Please let's be realistic here. The few who "might" actually make any money are the ones who are mature and will not become discourage anyway. The rest of 95-99% would just fail. So in the end it is just a case of weeding out the bad apples much quicker.

Dear VirtualV, an old fogie speaking here, since i'm 45, is a matter of evolution, and patience, soon they move to another thing, or perhaps get a girfriend, a new toy, or somehting like that. As this is black hat, probably they'll fake their birthday to get access, buy a VCC, etc.

And yes, i'm a little tired too and of course, restraining myself a lot to give advice in these days, if they want to get burned, banned, flaged by the Networks, other members, well let it happen. It's life.

People will donate when they want to donate. But i think JR VIP should be done on a poll basis with the people already in jr VIP. Ive seen it done many times on other forums where they have a "secret" forum for those who have been there for a long time.

I agree with you virtualv...but another part of me says: TOLERANCE. Age is a poor indicator when it comes to voting, drinking, gambling, being all grow'd up. Some people can handle the responsibility when they are 18/21 some not until they are 40.

As our community is not quite as large as the one outside this box I believe we can be more discriminating (ohhhh, thats not the best choice of words) when it comes to identifying those that can handle themselves in a mature way and be an asset to this community.

As such start flagging the posts that piss you off. A profile will develop on those that are more trouble than they are worth. To help minimize the workload for the mods perhaps we could include a category which is titles "immature" or something similar. This was you can sort them all and see who is topping the list. Then the warnings start.

But overall I am hearing you.

That's a good point and also a good idea about "reporting" the dumb posts. It won't work in all cases, but might ease the pain a bit...

I kind of agree with what you are saying. There are a lot of under 18,s in here making a lot of money and they will give out some great ideas and stuff. But then 20 minutes later they are posting some bullshit or flaming somebody cause they are bored.

You can't mix knowledge with age. When I was 13 I had people 10 years older than me contacting me help them make money. I don't see why under 18's can't have access to information that others have just because they are born a few years after. If something like this happens I'll personally contact one of the admins to get me banned myself.
