Hello All,

I've put a test site up for trying some of the techniques on this forum. I managed to get indexed by google very quickly by pinging some blogs and such.
I've linked my site from several social bookmark sites. Googlebot, MSN and Yahoo bots show in my logs daily and are finding my site.

The problem is when I try to see exactly how many back links I have, it shows that I have none.

I use google and search for link:mydomain.com but I get nothing. Several other tools that track back links also show that I have none. I find this strange since obviously the spiders are finding me. The site has been listed in SERP for my test keywords for over a week now. Heck, I even got a few adsense clicks already and I have hardly started to promote the niche.

Any explanations here White n' Black hats ?

Great link.
I found quite a few backlinks to my site i didnt know about.
Cheers for that BuzzKill.

I love this site. I have already learned more in 2 weeks from this site than 6 mths of surfin the net..

Cheers again.

It gives me an error

Bad status code "301"

I think that is because I use a 301 redirect on the domain to a directory.
The script on domain-pop.com tries to download the links from my site.

Just a test site anyway but I really want to know why all my back link tests dont seem to show up in google. My site shows up. It gets crawled several times per day even. My back links are still online in my accounts with technocrati, blogger, and many others.
I can't figure it out...

It's been a long time that Google doesn't show basically any link. You could try with yahoo, or some other tools like the link posted above

Google doesn't show all the links when you use the link: function.

Try to use the same link: function on Yahoo, the same links that Yahoo found were found by Google also, they just don't want to show them.

nope, yahoo does not see them either.

Very strange...
