I've tried marketing a clickbank product for 10 months now on a dedicated site with its own paid domain and clickbank's stats only show 2 clicks in the past 6 months even though it's the only link in the whole website. My site receives around 80 different visitors/month and shows up highly ranked in search engines and in the first page of google.

So far I've made $0.00 with clickbank... Am I being scammed by clickbank and doing "free" advertising?

Please be more specific with your feedback, your facepalms don't help me find out what the problem is. The domain was set up so that I could do a SEO test more than anything and since I don't know much about IM so I also tried to promote a clickbank product to see if it worked. But having ~80 different visitors a month and only 2 people who "hopped" in 6 months is a bit strange. I also noticed that my own hops don't get registered but that's probably because I hopped after logging in to CB.

The problem is...your doing an "seo test" (yet dont know anything about IM???)with a site "highly ranked"..for a non competitive keyword..3 people a day landing on the page is not worth getting out of bed for. Thats why you were given the face palm..now I have spelled out the reason for it tiger..peace..

The majority of that was the insinuation that Clickbank might be cheating you. The reality is, your traffic is extremely low, and the possibility exists that while your site might be optimized, it might not be compelling content.

The latter two are FAR more realistic.

Thanks for your detailed replies. I know that I insinuated that they could be cheating me but take into consideration that I have never made any money with them and read some stories on this forum about some guy having thousand of hops and having only three buys. So it is only natural for me to at least think about it.

Also, I've never had anything more than robots visit my sites in the past so to have 80 different human visitors a month or 2-3 a day looks a lot to me even if it means nothing to others. But I am thankful for your help because now I know that my site might not look credible or have some of the other mentioned problems.

Quality of traffic, proper niche targeting, and quality of site content are key. ****** traffic isn't going to convert. Solo ad traffic is far more likely to. Likewise someone interested in malware protection software won't likely be in the mood to buy work-from-home offers. And to maximize conversions, you of course need persuasive, aesthetic content.

100% Youtube, the key (for me at least) is quality. I don't upload 100s of crap videos and and against stealing other peoples videos for a few reasons. There are probably 30 stolen copies of my top video floating around at any given time. All that does is hurt everyone else. When you click on mine or any of the copies you will see 4 or 5 of the same video on the right hand side, to me that instantly makes not only my videos, but the others look bad a views less likely to buy.

It's not hard to make a decent video for youtube, whether it is a review or just showcasing the product, take a few minutes and do it yourself, the conversions will be a hell of a lot better than anything else. If you use people from fiverr make sure you use someone that isn't already all over youtube. There's nothing worse than taking the time and money to rank your video only to see the same person on the side of the screen promoting "How to get a bigger penis" - happened to me on my first video I had made.
