You could know something that I for example dont know.

But even for a newbie, any decent info here. I call this BS interview and a lose of time.

You are eating too much what "they" want you to believe. Google is not your friend, remember that.

Its a real shame many people on here don't seem to be intelligent enough to grasp the meaning of the phrase, "no seo is the best seo"....

It is obviously true, all you need to do to never have to worry about Google's next algorithmic update, penalty or anything, is to simply forget about SEO and create a site that provides a valuable service or purpose in people's lives. Once you tackle that problem, your site will rank for whatever it is supposed to rank for. That is all he meant. If you worry less about building backlinks and focus more on creating a service that people wanted to link to, you would never have to worry about SEO.

mate - I had a site like that, quality travel site, over 500 pages, great info, our customers loved us and raved about us - all 5 or 6 of them. It must have taken us 2 hours a week to service them (which was great because we had other jobs), and at the end of the month we could afford a nice meal out with the proceeds.

Then I went all BH on it and now it's a great site, over 500 pages with great info and our customers love and rave about us - all 40 or 50 a day. It now employs me and my wife as well as 2 other girls, all fulltime, and we can easily afford to eat out 3 times a day (with a fair bit left over).

So I think I'll just ignore your advice and continue marketing my site.

Please dont be shy. Argue with me... What exactly do you find good in this interview?

I particularly enjoy this sentence:

and you are back to square one... I don't really give a frick what you do with your site, I am just telling you what obviously is the best way to build a site.

Just think of it this way... It is only a matter of time before Google takes you up the ass.

What does he mean by "Try to work as though SEO is not part of your plan"? Either it is or it isn't, and it's not going to happen by accident. If you're giving over any time to optimization then it has to be part of your plan and it's not like you can just ignore what you're doing. It sounds like he's convincing people not to overdo it when it comes to SEO, but if that's what he means he should just say it; not do this crappy "nod and a wink" reference to it.
