Perhaps you need to optimize your page so you receive targeted traffic or create a better sales page that will help to better capture the interest of your visitors. With 15 minutes spent on your site, perhaps they've found what they were looking for or found out what they needed to know without having to pay for it. You need to create a landing page!

You don't have one... there is too much distractions on your front page.

I would make the front page 1 long article with few banners and a big CALL To ACTION at the end.

I'm not sure how you're generating traffic, but if it's SEO, my conversions typically go up when I rank high on the first page. People are going to trust sites ranked higher more, they may read the other sites just to research or something, but conversions go way up once you rank high.

By any chance, do you happen to be illiterate? Please read any of the posts above you and let me know how many people said to build your list. Why do I need anybody to repeat this information to me so many times? Almost every single guru or noob on WF/BHW will tell you "No list, no money". Like really, literally ANY other advice would be more useful than just simply saying "build a list" at this point. My thread was just a simple "why do I have no conversions with this traffic" is all. I am not whining nor bitching, I am just curious as to why I had low conversions.

Outsource the sales copy.

I know a guy that can write a new sales copy for you!

When I did it, I went from 1 sale ever few days to like 3-5 sales per day!

It can be a good investment if you find the right person to do the copy.

Please, if you just want to rant on my thread without providing any information that can be used, can you please just leave? There's no point in flaming here. I just simply wanted information that hasn't been repeated a million times. If your answer to everything is to "build a list", then I congratulate you on your success with just simply hearing those three words.

generally speaking, the longer your target keyword is, the more likely it will convert. Conversely, you may receive less traffic to it.

I agree, but it also depends on the niche. You wouldn't believe how different it is in jewelry and clothing. When I was on page 2 for online jewelry store, I did not get that many searches for it. When I was in the top 1,000 for the word "jewelry" sales blew up. "buy jewelry online" was on page 1 and it didn't get nearly as many hits as the google keyword tool said it did. For some strange reason, the majority of internet users use very generic keywords in clothing and shoes. My sales were better when I started thinking like an internet illiterate. I hate to insult my own sex, but the majority of women buy my jewelry, and their search terms are terribly generic. I like to test different phrases in jewelry to see which are best, as there are MANY keywords and phrases to choose from, and the most generic one and two word keywords work best. They're also the hardest to get to the top of the serps. I followed the person who was #1 for the word "shoes" and he became a millionaire just from that. He lost the position some time later, but he had his time in the sun. He had said the same thing in a webinar. The people who buy in that niche use very generic keywords.

Ah, I see. So I am guessing I am just targeting generic keywords and I should get "buyer" keywords for my niche. I don't really know how to do this for this specific niche though.

I haven't seen his site yet but he told me his niche. I agree with you. A long and good article on the front page will help. He is in a tough niche. It's going to take time with this one. There are over 300 million results. This one is going to take patience and work.

Panda, put that phrase you pm'd me into google and study the top 10 sites. Study them inside and out until you have every detail memorized. heading tags, titles, descriptions, word count, word placement. Every little thing. Compare each site. You will have an "Aha!" moment and it will all make sense to you as to what you need to do on your own site. Don't skip the studying step. Know your niche inside and out. Everyone, no matter how long they have been doing something, should always study their competition inside and out.

Yeah, you're right...I don't know why I didn't do this before -_-

I just looked through a few of the sites that were on the first page and the site (which is also a blog-type site I believe) is on the #1 spot with a long sales copy. I guess that's absolutely necessary. As for the rest though, about 3 of them are well reputed sites such as squidoo, wikihow, and askmen and two of them are YouTube videos. I think if I were to change my front page into a sales copy also and back-link it properly, I think I should be able to hopefully get onto the first page also...I don't know if it's just me though, but the #6, 9, and 10 spot isn't even related to the keyword.

Edit: I've also PM'd you my site by the way, any suggestions would be appreciated
