I was for years. I hoarded everything as a child. My room was filled with every school jotter, all my childhood toys and all sorts of trinkets.
Then my "stepmother" came into my room one day when I was at work and literally binned everything. Right down to my window blinds because they were " old ".
My Dad then proceeded to remove every single trace of my mother from the home so I lost a lot of valuable pictures, ornaments, and such.
Because of this I have let go of everything and now clear about 7 bin bags of shit every few months. My house looks unlived in. I suppose its good incase I need to move, Im only worrying about clothes and furnature.
That's kind of a dick move of your dad and your stepmother.
Well, if it makes someone feel better... I hoard porn.
Yeah, but my guess is that most of it is just fast forward. So, a 10 min clip you will most prob watch for 30s?
i used to hoard pictures of porn, extreme gore, animal abuse, exicutions, death, etcetc. But i came to my senses.
I an obsessive compulsive declutterer. I do keep a hearty supply of food storage though.
My husband hoards books, CDs and DVDs which drives me insane since they can all be found for FREE online and take up no additional space when transferred to the ipod or kindle. If you are going to hoard items only hoard those which cannot be stored digitally.
Very very confusing. So you are vexed because what he hoards shouldn't be hoarded at all? But isn't the same could be said of all hoarding? Please clarify.
There are a lot of things that can be stored digitally. Those should not be stored in their old-fashioned physical forms, like CDs, especially when he has an ipod, internet radio receiver, satellite radio and the only CD player he has is on the computer. Why have the CD when you need to play it on the computer to hear it? Or a DVD when you have to play it on the computer to watch it? It makes no sense and it is a waste of money and space.
