G! Update? 200+ keywords dropped massively

Well... you just got hit for low quality.

Since some years we all know: Quality above Quantity + social signals + link diversity + anchor texts

I go as less Blackhat as possible and never got hit by a google algo-update so far... actually my traffic goes up all the time the low quality stuff gets removed

my website too was dropped this friday from the 2# in google to 12# ! my website is in french and is an EMD with high quality articles wrote by me and good onpage offpage seo....perhaps i need to continue building backlinks... hope to come back to my original position...im expert in my niche and i see that my site deserve the 1# in google honestly !

My EMD got hit hard, lost #1 rankings for 15+ keywords and now they are not in the top 100.

Content was good, backlinks were good (mostly manually made and on high PR sites etc).

I was #1 for my main keyword for a very long time and was getting great traffic now its not even in the top 100.

Notice this too, my site which is #1 for over 2 years now dropped to 10. I haven't done any backlink to the site since then, and it's not EMD. Has high quality articles since it's a tutorial site that I wrote, hopefully I can get back to #1. Any advice guys?

Well, this is just great. A search on G.ca for my keywords brings back a UK based business. Simply best results that I really wanted to see when i'm in Canada.

We have had 3 updates the past week in date order-

1) Panda refresh
2) low quality emd penalty
3) Penguin refresh

Take your pick as to which it is =D

Too many updates to remember. I don't blame people for being frustrated and confused.

The problem is, there's no such thing. Some are terrific, some will murderize yoiur site. That's the danger of ordering services, often you never really know what you're getting. I had some sites hit that I guarantee were hit because of what some service providers did --- if you're relying on service providers, the best you can do is track who did what where...then pick out the sites that weren't hurt, and note the providers who worked on them in order to use them again.

Apart from that I was aggressive on youtube recently linking back to inner pages but that's manually done with new videos created by me. So far nothing came back, still indexed. Good news is, now when i search for my company name my website shows up - for a couple of days it didn't.

This EMD update was total crap. One of my EMDs that I don't even bother doing any SEO for or even monitor it's ranking jump huge spots and sitting on page 1 where my business site should be. Big G! fails again.
