Asians in the media are portrayed as a very serious bunch to Westerners. So seeing a goofy dancing Asian is a breathe of fresh air to people. Videos that go viral are videos that are novel, and this guy just used up all the "we want to see an Asian being goofy" juice for the next 5 years. The song does have a decent electropop beat and a good hook though, it probably wouldn't have gotten as big without that deep voice hook.

Wow. The best part about the video is that it's attainable. With the right talent (good looking guy with a lot of self-confidence) "just anyone" could make this video. I bet the budget for the whole video was less than $500.

Gangbang Style? Meh. Colorful gay asian prances around doing pelvic thrusts into the air, and gyrating around horses, women and men. I assume there are some heterosexual male asians that look at this representation of their culture and are embarrassed, like I was during the Disco Era and the BeeGees. Ha, ha, ha, ha, Stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Doin' coke off some chick's ass in the Men's room. Oh wait, no. That's a dude's ass. Oh well, whatever.
