Evening chaps and chapettes,

I have a copy of VB 4 and VB SEO lying around unused. Not sure when or why I even bought them; logged into an old email today and found reference to them.

Anywho . . .

If you'd like to motivate me to use them, I'm all ears. I'm not looking for methods, etc, just motivation.

Examples:

"KK, my forum generates more than most 2nd world countries!"

"After I installed my copy of VB, it was so fun I stopped playing Skyrim and WOW, and I threw my elf ears in the trash, and now I'm getting laid 11 times a week - wahey!"

"Have you seen the movie, The Last Starfighter? Well, I installed VB, ran it so well, that an alien race known as the Clits contacted me. They live in pods (you saw them in The Matrix) and their entire world revolves around one giant message board. They came to me and asked ME to run their board, their WORLD! I was also given a groovy new title: The Almighty Clit."

Judging by your name, you're a chick. Maybe something closer to the kitchen would be a good idea? Tonnes of ewhore cam sites out there looking for fresh meat as well or you could just find some rich guy marry him and live off his money, because you're probably not smart enough to make your own.

I find the level of unfriendliness quite surreal. Truly. I've never encountered anything like it. Not a single rational, friendly, helpful response. You'd think, since this was quite humorous and light, and posted in The Lounge, it would generate an equally friendly and light response. You'd think so. I'm sure I'll come across as pissed off, but I'm truly not - not in the least. I'm actually stunned. It's like walking along a beach and finding some weird, but interesting artifact: it doesn't offend; it inspires curiosity. I wish I'd majored in Psychology so I could understand it all better!

Just to clarify (and waste my time and generate further unpleasant replies): I run a network of sites that receive adult traffic and have done so for almost 20 years. I do a bit of everything, really. A workaholic. I noticed I owned VB and VB SEO, both of which I believe are good, but I don't truly want to devote more chunks of my time to something unless I feel a strong compulsion. You know how it is: only so many hours in the day. I figured I could shoot the shit with my post and chit-chat with forum owners who might inspire me to devote some chunks of time. Instead, I received the above.

I think you're trying to be nice (you're in the minority) but I'm a very motivated person. I work 14 hours a day. I simply wanted motivation to devote chunks of time to something new. I figured I could chat with forum owners and then say to myself, "Yep, KK, screw it - let's give it a bash," or, "Ah hell, I work too much already, let's keep it on the back-burner." I really know nothing about running a forum - no idea of profit, time-required (which I imagine is HUGE, however) - but figured I could have an intelligent discussion to learn more. Instead, I receive nonsensical and unpleasant one-liners. I think the word "motivation" has thrown several people, who perhaps should have read more deeply into the initial post. In any case, it appears intelligent discussion will not happen, so I'm happy to forget the idea.

Oh, I see, another unpleasant reply. I think my original post is fine. Light, humorous, casual. I see no reason why it would be considered unintelligent; although, there's every possibility that's because I'm not intelligent, myself. In any case, I see no reason why it should generate such unpleasantness. Bizarre.

As for making money with forums I can't comment too much - Ideally you should promote your forum on other websites and get users - then email the users since creating a forum is basically like creating a list. Make sure you can email the users I don't know how VB works but it should have that capability.

How to promote? Same as always - and it shouldn't be too hard with adult. You can purchase cheap traffic in that industry just make sure its quality. A few media buys and some porn video commenting is a good start.

Don't buy traffic from exchange sites like Traffic Holder - while the prices will see tempting you wont get quality. Get media buys off huge sites you can do this through a few sites that basically broker the traffic. PM me if you want a few I have posted them in jr vip but I wont publicly post them.

Also put ads on the forum they will get a terrible CTR but you may be able to sell them or send them to custom landing pages and to sex dating offers that convert for a good chunk of change.
