I'm glad that I've finally got to this place.


You know why?


Because y'all see things for what they are and aren't afraid to speak your mind. That's something I value above all.


So, what can I bring to the table?


First, I have plenty of real world, up to date SEO experience - and I have no problem with sharing it freely (as opposed to creating a cheap useless WSO).


And second, I run a service (that I won't mention in my first post and I strongly believe in giving before getting) that basically helps folks automate the most boring things about running a blog network.


So? I think I and BlackHatWorld are going to be a good match.


We'll see. But I feel good about this.

You just did mention it Kinda suspect for a first post since your service is clearly something that's on your mind and more than likely the primary motivating factor for you joining bhw and making your introductory post.

Saying "I run a service, which I won't mention" is actually a copywriting technique. That kind of stuff might fly under the radar on places like WF, but using copywriting techniques on a forum full of copywriting experts generally doesn't work too well.

Also saying you "strongly believe in giving before getting" wreaks of sales-copy. You first setup intrigue by saying you have a service, then integrity by saying you won't mention it. Next you say you believe in giving before receiving which builds trust. You then go on to say, despite previously saying you won't mention your service, that it helps people automate(another key sales word) the most boring(another key sales word).

Ehehe, thank-you. Psychology is one of the most important parts of marketing. Really you can't market without it. Understanding psychology/human behavior helps you pick products for particular markets and then helps you decide how to market to those particular people.

Way to hijack his thread, and I fully approve! It's insulting the way he talks to the forum. I'm glad you called him out. He'll learn it's best to just be genuine on here and not try to sound like a squeeze page. He'll learn that people are willing to help if you do what all your training as a BH IM'er has advised you against, and just be HONEST.

Honestly, I never expected a psychologists hanging out on this forum, but it would make a fascinating case study and I am really glad you guys are as sharp as ever.

Indeed I got that.
But that was the point of this post - to make the whole deal less boring than "hey people, I'm *enter name here* from *enter place here* " and kind of put a slight emphasis on my business - I do know my "kitchen"!

I guess by reactions that I succeeded and as the old saying goes - the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.

I'm not a copywriter but at least now I know where that came from. I will admit that I've spent about half an hour trying to come up with something interesting for my introduction post - not an easy task for a non native En.

As of my motivation I will just say this - you cannot talk about SEO with your wife...
