Backlinks service providers.. Does anyone noticed this?

I talked about the same to Google few weeks back when I was selling my Press Release Service via Google. They said, you can't use the word, "Backlinks" in your content.

Well, use anything like
"your site will be distributed to a hundred of sites for more exposure". Or, "We will help your site to go viral on the internet and increase search Engine rankings."

Very interesting! Tell us more, what google said about "backlinks" word.
Did they provided a link where you can read more? (I just checked and in AdWords TOS is nothing about "backlinks" word.

I dont even know why anyone would bother with this phrases, they dont pull enough traffic as you would think.

Hi,

2 Months back, my adwords account was banned with the reason "your site is selling backlinks, which is breaching adwords terms & conditions". After my ban, still i saw many ads shown everywhere in search engines.

Today I noticed, there was no single ad showing in search engines for keywords related to "backlinks".

Does google banned every advertiser who is building backlinks? or its just me who is seeing no ads?

If they banned all advertisers, is it mean this could be the major upcoming updates hinting the backlinks service providers?

BB.

I am not backlinks service provider but tried just with US proxy and non-US proxy, I could not find any AD's for keyword 'search engine optimization'.

Looks like they're terminating those campaigns. This is a 'good' example what happends when you you have too much power. The power will be abused.

here you go..

This is the mail i received from google.

We understand that you have some concerns regarding your suspended account (878-984-0966 ). This happened as the website: "http://xxxx.com/pricing-packages/premium-101-backlinks" which you promote through your Google AdWords account is in violation with our Artificial Ad Traffic policy which is considered as an unacceptable business practice as a result we will not be able to reinstate your account.

Please note that pausing or deleting the campaigns, AdGroups or ads related to the disabled sites will not make a difference and violation will remain in your account history. The issue here is whether you run your ads are not, we regularly review sites and landing pages to ensure they adhere to our advertising policies.

But, I was running this same ad for more than a year. Suddenly they realized i violated their ad policy.

The below kws fetch us 4 - 5 orders per day.

Traffic is less, but conversions are great.

Ask them when the Terms of Service were implemented. Ask them why you were not alerted of the change in Terms of Service at the time.

If they recently changed the ToS and only now you are violating them, then I think their suspension of your account is unfair.

Refer them to some examples of SEOMOZ's PPC campaign and show Google how SEOMOZ is also violating their ToS, see what they reply with.

I dropped it, as i dont wanna get my site thrown out again. After receiving this mail, in few weeks i was thrown out from first page in serps to nowhere. It may be coincidence. Later redesigned my site and now managed to get it back in first and second page again.

Google is monopoly now.

Exactly. This. So Google bans ads related to backlinks? It's not going to matter, people will find something new to call it - "reverse stickys" or something. Google can't shut down the seo industry. There are too many people doing it, too many legit small businesses and huge corporations that actually rely on it as part of their business advertising models. Google's just made they don't have 100% control over it....let's keep it that way.

Lucky you then, if that is the case they canceled your account, how about other advertiser advertising with them keyphrases, how come they never get pulled yet.

Google pulling ranking here dont you think?

I have noticed for about a year that Google seems to come and go with allowing backlinks-related ads. The companies Google is either in bed with in some way or that are Google proxies never seem to have a problem (e.g. SEOmoz), even if they are only selling the tools with which people 'spam'. Sometimes, you can forgo the AdWords ban with extensive re-branding and re-working of the copy of the landing page such that it leans towards "SEO", but this is almost always little more than stalling an inevitable ban (with the notable exception of that ProOptimal slop that appears to be impervious to a manual Google review).

Anyway, yeah. Google's anti-backlink building phase 2 is going to be the capricious de-indexing of perhaps millions of backlink buying/building webpages. So, this is truly where the re-branding of one's site(s) towards a more 'Google-friendly' lexicon, i.e. 'SEO', is a rather pressing matter.

In the end it goes to show just how effective backlink building is, really. And that Google hasn't the foggiest idea of a new, substantive basis on which to implement their algorithms other than punish people who are smart enough to figure out that they do - and allow - all sorts of things that Google pretends that they do not.

They make us affiliate marketers and link builders out to be the bad guys but we're the ones looking to gets conversions by giving users what they want. A lot of these Big brand websites eat customers up, violate privacy and crush the small guys. A lot of "moms and pops" websites who know nothing about SEO and the internet have terrible content and insecure websites, which is why they make us affiliates because we know the internet and we are the pioneers who look to give users what they want.

But Google, the company which self-proclaimed "do no evil" has become a complete and utter greed driven monopoly. Google's results used to be clean looking and of better quality. Now their attack on SEO specialists, linkbuilding and affiliate marketers is destroying their own search engine.

They should rename themselves the "big brand" search engine because that's all that appears now and if it is not a big brand, it is a very low quality retarded site with low relevance.

We should encourage users to start using Bing, with better competition Google wouldn't hold all the power.

As soon as everyone started using Bing, it will be purchased by Google..

Microsoft won't sell it, it doesn't make sense for them to. Microsoft created Bing in order to try to maintain some sort of relevancy in the internet world. It can't be sold.

Perhaps the ultimate irony is that Google owes much of its success to "link spam" insofar as "link spam" has affected Search in such a profound manner as to necessitate (in Google's mind) all of these anti-link spam algorithm tweaks and webmaster/site owner punishments.

In other words, it was (still is?) precisely this "link spam" that shaped Google's search results to the end of Google being so successful (read: quality search results).

This whole Google thing, including AdWords' banning of link building oriented accounts Et. Al., it's like watching a petulant teenager have a melt down because she has to share the bathroom.

There are anti-trust laws that will prevent this from ever happening. It will never get approved.

I would like to know how Google managed to work out a search deal with Ask.com without rising anti-trust issues. Maybe it was done in secrecy to avoid detection.

Google is more evil now, than ever before.
