Backlinks service providers.. Does anyone noticed this?

SEO and backlinks are nearly synonymous. The only difference is that backlinks sound a little more "spammy" as Matt Cutts would say. At least Google is moving away from being hypocritical. Now all Google has to do is remove paid ads from above the fold in their search results pages to further depart from their hypocritical policies. :D

Ads still showing for seo related terms...

and how is the traffic doing for you bigbuddy, I found out after ranking numerous seo phrases there seems to be no much traffic for seo terms

I second what you just said, if you look at the phrases big buddy mentioned above, there is no ads which is good phrase to target as there wont be no ads taking all the traffic, whereas with seo related terms there are so much ads and you only get trickle of traffic with organic rankings.

Feck all chance of that mate....... Part of Panda and Penguin is about shifting long term rankers out of the top three spots so they can be replaced with those who 'invest' the most money on ppc for those same KW.

G is trying to improve the ROI of it's biggest PPC spenders, presumably to keep their custom and is happy to let everyone else swivel on what pickings are left.

Can't find ads for "back links" too on my ends.

Instead of Google to be worried over how to provide quality search result for it's users
it's busy witch hunting webmasters and SEO experts.

I hope it doesn't turn out to be a case of misplaced priority and doom at the end.

They also now have image ads on top of their ad word ads.

Still more to come, if you are still doing black hat it's time to have a rethink.

And if you are still thinking leaving your day job is the best way to avoid the boss and 9 to 5 job
then have a rethink. The big G is a boss over webmasters and SEO masters.

If you don't have a plan B then you are still a joker.

Anyway, we are still here..

Hi,

No ads for 'backlink' , 'backlinks' or 'linkbuilding' in Bulgarian g00gle. But for 'seo' and 'seo service' there are ads.

Cheers
Petko

That's the funny part, but with validation for the conversion rates for the new Google Algorithms, I wonder if it is even still worth it to advertise directly on Adwords for such terms. When I did my calculations based on feedback compiled from 2011 it doesn't even seem profitable if some "clientele" can cost you up to $800 a paying client (basing this on volume, paid type, and then 2% conversion rate that Google stated for paid Adwords campaigns). So I think it is better to mix in some BSTS from around here for traffic and leads and hope for the best. Then again, I haven't had the balls to record a conversion rate for something that I might lose money on (from click fraud competitors).

With Google just about every inch above the fold is paid ads. :)

Hypocracy so staggering it beggars belief.

I talked about the same to Google few weeks back when I was selling my Press Release Service via Google. They said, you can't use the word, "Backlinks" in your content.

Well, use anything like
"your site will be distributed to a hundred of sites for more exposure". Or, "We will help your site to go viral on the internet and increase search Engine rankings."

I just don't understand Google's thinking.

Did someone join Google's board recently who has no idea how the internet works?

Reminds me of when newspaper websites started trying to charge users for content. Laughable.

no ads on my side either, so it is definitely country specific

it is hilarious though how they still run ads on Google US and UK for backlink service providers - building backlinks is against our TOS / policy / vision, but if you pay for your ads, then that's a different story, we will run them, no problem ;)

For most terms I (in US) can only see ads for sites Google would consider authorities: seomoz, fiverr, odesk, prweb.

For some lower volume terms non-authority sites are still showing but not as many as I'd expect. I'm guessing they are in the process of systematically disabling all those adwords accounts.

This one has buycheapr (an e-commerce site) showing ads for "buy high pr backlinks." That's not good for the end user or for buycheapr; it goes to a page full of cuff links.
