How important high pr links and edu links

Hi, Yesterday i analysed my competitor backlinks via majestic seo. That domain has citation flow as 41 and trust flow as 23. I found their top backlinks are from edu/gov sites (most of them are blog posts) and high pr pages from other domain tld's (Most of them are blog comments). Still the high PR pages have huge amount of OBL, the "trust flow" of that page is 20+ and domain has 40+. and the edu/gov domains have trust flow over 70+. So i thought it's very essential to gain backlinks from trustworthy pages.

Eventhough, that page has high OBL. The high PR links passes higher value to your website. We already know that edu and gov links are high authority in google point of view.

Check you website in majestic seo to find the trust flow of your domain. If your's is less than 10, try to build backlinks from edu/gov backlinks as well as high pr backlinks.

Google always gives some authority to edu and gov backlinks. As each page of the edu domain itself will gain more and more authority OBL may not be a problem. It is good to have those backlinks.

High pr links/authority links have and will work well for quite some time...that's evident based on how hard google needs to crack down on networks (ie bmr, private blog networks, etc).

if they didn't work, google could care less about them and would have let them continue. but they do care because they do work.

find yourself some solid high pr links, or sign up for a service that works well. i've been in one for a year that i love because they dont advertise at all and keep their services small. thats the kinda service you want to look for.

I won't said to focus only on high pagerank and edu backlinks. We need to create backlinks from various platforms is essential to show natural for google. Diversity is key for sure. As for PR.. whether some people think it matters or not.. it's an indicator of trust that Google places on pages, and trust = value.
I also personally pay attention to Moz's Page Auth ranks.

You can't define backlinks in that way. A backlink from poor source is harmful to your website. Google hate websites which has backlinks from shits.

White Hat is nothing more than a big advertisement and affiliate campaign spent over years gaining trust, links, content, and crushed dreams to rank the site and create authority. Be smart, and use some quality BSTS if you want to rank medium to low keywords. As for high keywords? Just copy what the big boys do.
