Google is giving you personalised results by the looks of it (which it does for 99% of people these days)

Sometomes a rogue site flies to the top 3 in Google for a week - before doing the "Google dance" and being relagated to where it should go.
It's like a mirage - you think "look at that crap - I can beat that" so you go for the niche, but the site you are trying to beat is not reflective of what SHOULD be there, and what you WILL ACTUALLY have to beat. A week later it's gone and the real competition is back in place.

Google dance doesn't just feck up the owners of the site that dances, it gives people analysing that niche a completely wrong (although temporary) view of it. If you base key decisions on one of these "flux states" you can come unstuck.

The site you see as number one is not in the top 50 (it's about 83rd if you search manually)

i dont understand you? The site i wrote (androidtablets24) is on #1 for more than 4 weeks. I searched with my computer and two different computer (different internet providers). Also i search with market samurai and everytime "androidtablet24" is #1.

The alexa rankings show proof of which site is the true #1 spot. The site you gave us has hardly any traffic, which shows it aint number #1 for "android tablets". You should listen to people who have been doing this longer than you.

which searches Google from Germany, androidtablet24.de is not even in the top ten. Also check the Alexa rank, over 2 million. This site gets about 10-50 visitors a day, not something that a site ranking position 1# for "android tablet" would get.

Either way, that site is not the true #1, this type of stuff happens often. Sometimes Google just doesn't give a clean result.

Now, competition sucks for 'android tablet' , you've got amazon.de etc to compete with, there isn't much search volume *specficially* from Germany for these keywords so if you are going to target longtail keywords then target A LOT of them.

I checked competition quickly on Market Samurai for the above results, competition is tough because those broad terms are dominated by tech mags. Stuff like 'android tablet forum' is difenintely doiable, highest ranker there is android-hilfe.de/sonstige-android-tablets/
Some other desired keywords like 'android tablets 2012' is dominated by sites with a domain age over a dozen years so it seems to be super competitive.

I suggest that you try targetting specific product names, version numbers etc so you can pick your battles before investing any money.

Why on earth did you think you could get number one spot for "android tablet"? Anyone with an ounce of knowledge on SEO knows that it is a ridiculous question to ask. And if you don't know this, then you should accept criticism for it.

Majestic-SEO shows 27 referring domains to androidtablets24.de of which 25 are different IP addresses

So you want us to believe that a site with 27 referring domains, a PageRank of 2 and NO traffic is honestly receiving traffic for the "android tablet" in Germany?
