The competition is so hard. That will be very, very expensive.
Nearly every site on page 1 is an authority site. My suggestion is choosing other, but related keywords with less competition and try to rank for them instead.

You can rank that site, just need to keep working at it for atleast 3 months and you will see results. Even if you dont rank page 1, you will start getting targeted traffic from long tail keywords.

Always start with longtail keywords and keep adding content and build backlinks gradually you can increase the ranking. Cost depends on your budget and urgency to rank

The keyword you want to rank for... it's going to be incredibly difficult, if not impossible to rank for.

If you're absolutely dead set on having that as your niche, you need to do proper keyword research and find severely less competitive terms than something as broad as "android tablet". For example, "best android tablet review" might be a better option since its a longer keyword.

Longtail keywords = typically have severely less SEO competition.

If you don't know the basics of Keyword research, you can learn from this post on our blog.

You can use MagicSubmitter or SENuke to get the job done. There are some providers on Fiverr but few people actually get your work done correctly. In SEO, you really get what you pay for.

A lot of the cheap services that are out there usually work for a little while and then seem to get your site penalized, but there are certainly a few gems.

Looking at the keyword, it may be extremely difficult and may consume lot of time to reach the first page. If you want to rank it yourself, you need to own few seo softwares which does the job, but are expensive. Try to find good fiverr service to start with.

Ok thanks for the reply. Another idea ;):
I have a domain with over 350 selfmade videos (ipad and iphone), with content of 70 - 350 words (i know - not enough). The domain has a pr 2 and an authority of 28. The domain name have 6 letters and have the word include "app". Unfortunately not android or tablet. The domain is one year old but the last content is from feb. 2012. Now i have daily 10 uv /day. I havent enough time to make new videos every day.

    My Question:
Can i use this site to rank for "android tablet"? Can i put some affiliate content to this site? Is this an good idea or bad? And if this an good idea, how long does it take, to rank #1 with "android tablet"?

Thanks and sorry for the bad english, i hope you understand me.

Yeah - It should cost about $35 and take a week.
Let's see - your comeptition for Android is... (erm who makes Android again) Oh yes GOOGLE
And what is the zeitgeist product in this niche at the moment - Ah the Nexus 7 - and that's marketed by...errm - quick check GOOGLE
And who is the biggest advertiser of this product - who markets it...scan down this list a moment... - ah here it is...GOOGLE
Who else is on page one...erm - well there's Google again - oh and Amazon, and PC World, and Cnet, and PC advisor - oh and depending on where you search the rest seem to be the major phone networks.

So to rank well you only need to beat the manufacturere and owner of the copyright to the word you want to rank , all tha major retailers and the major phone networks (all with 7 figure advertising and SEO spends EACH)- with the little caveat that well Google you see, well THEY OWN THE SEARCH ENGINE YOU WANT TO RANK IT ON - can't see an issue there

Yes - ranking against them for that phrase should cost you $35 at the most - what is it? ...Wednesday now... so [checks watch] you should be raking in the dollars by Friday...Monday at the latest.

Brilliant find - I'll have to GOOGLE android to find what it actually is - never heard anyone mention it before.

You can use a team of Nasa scientists as your SEO team, get Shakespeare and to write your content and Johnny Carson to do the links - you aren't going to rank that keyphrase as it stands - not without a 6 figure investment in dollars and hours.

Cut the guy a break and SOMEONE tell him to look for long tails. Are you just geeing this guy up so he wastes the next "x"months of his life on one of the toughest keywords there has ever been.

Personally think it's a bit crap to let this guy carry on thinking he is going to rank for "Android Tablet" Get a keyword tool, find some great 4 word plus long tails and you're in with a chance.
Is this amateur hour here? Come on chaps - take arealism pill and give the guy some proper advice

I have a coffee stain on my trousers from spluttering into laughter after reading this

Stop pi$$ing about and give the guy proper advice, this isn't April fools day.

You should definitely go for long tail keywords at the beginning. And keep in mind it's not a 3 month project, you will have to invest a lot of money and your time.

Dude, the keyword is pretty tough. It will take some time. I would advice you to take some services from BHW and then use them.

Use the site with the higher authority.
Do massive keyword research. Get AS many keywords as you can. Go through the list, weed out the unrelated ones. Get the remaining keywords monthly (local) searches, remove the ones with 0 and above 1000. Rank for those, focussing on the easier ones.

    What is better:
Going for a 2 word keyword with 10k search volume and will take AGES to rank, even after which it isn't guaranteed.
    Or
Going for a 100 keywords with 100-500 searches each, which will be much easier to rank.
