I am currently selling a site on flippa plublic auction. If I sell the site how can I transfer the site and domain? My current hosting is hawk host and domain.com for the domain. Will it cost money to transfer?

typically i don't transfer hosting, only the domain and the site files + data.
You have to give the buyer an auth code from your registrar to complete the transfer. As for files and data, do a dump of the database and zip up all the files and then stick it back on your host so they can download it directly.

Just do a domain push if you're with a registrar that supports it, this will usually be free. If they don't have an account with your registrar, get them to register then you will be able to push the domain over to them.

To transfer site files, just zip or rar it up and send it to them. If it has a database, export/dump the database and add that to the archive file.

First off does anyone use domain.com? Do you guys know if they support domain push? Or domain transfer? I cannot seem to find information other than transferring a domain to them.

Also how would I export the database in phpadmin?

Also I will be using escrow.com/ as payment method.

Most registrars offer FREE domain push. Just ask your buyer to register an account on there and then have them give you their account info so you can push it to them.

Using escrow is the safest way.

I can't comment on phpadmin cause have very limited experience.

There are peeps on fiverr that will do it for you and alleviate the headache.

Use the domain push at the registrar and for files and database it depends on the sites platform.
If its a wordpress install you could use backupbuddy for a fast transfer of files and db.

You just push the domain to his account and then he has access to it. For the hosting part, I would contact them and tell that the owner information has changed. So they will change everything.
