Has anyone ever been skydiving? I jumped for my first time over the weekend and It was incredible, Im still reeling from the experience and haven't been this clear headed in years. just wanted to hear about others experience.

I don't think I could do it. I'd literally have to be pushed out of the plane :-)

I can imagine its a major buzz though.

I vowed to never do it, but when it came to be that I was the only person in my group of friends chickening out, I had to man up and go for it. In my experience, the whole thing is so surreal that you don't feel nervous, although I did start to freak out when I heard the sound of the door opening and then the big "foosh" as my buddy went out first, but by then its too late since they can't land the plane with passengers. you forget to breathe for the first 10 seconds as you fall at 120mph, but once you accept the fact that you are no longer in control, It's the most amazing thing I have ever done.

I would like to do that, but im afraid. Dont know, i think everyone will be afraid when they do something like this

I would definitely try sky diving one of these days. Would love to feel the adrenaline rush.

Skydiving scares the living **** out of me. I mean it feels like a very stupid thing to do, when you can actually find more pleasant things to do then jumping from planes and hoping for the best. I will never do this.. ever!

Skydiving is something I definitely want to do in the future god willing. Me and my mate both said we would do it if we ever get rich lol. :D

(That means it most likely will never happen) LOL.

No need to be rich to go skydiving :)

I haven't been, but can't wait to do it :)

Thats what I said, but Nothing compares to it. Also, what do I have to be afraid of now? What could be scarier or more challenging then jumping out of a plane?

As long as I land in the ocean I'll be fine.... :D

No you wont be fine, from that high hitting the ocean is the same as hitting the ground

Thanks for sharing your experience, i sometimes wonder how it is. I think it is very scary, too scary, maybe the scariest choice one can make, so thats why i want to try it one day hopefully. How much does skydiving cost?

Man..I'd love to go skydiving someday. And paragliding. And bungee jumping.

Not much of a fan of water though.

Traded some work for hang gliding lessons and a hang glider and harness a couple of years ago, it is a blast. Haven't ever been sky diving though, and I don't really feel any need to - I would rather fly up than fall down.

It was $235 a person with a group of 14, a little more for singles/smaller groups. It varies alot depending on where you are, but its one of those things you probably want to spend more on.

I'd end up with my ass hanging out of the harness like this old lady.

Haha that video went through my mind a few times, The fact that she survived was really reassuring

There's a well-known place here that takes a lot of people skydiving, and I'd like to do it but they require the first few jumps to be "tandem", joined via some kind of equipment to someone else. Seems kind of creepy, having to be tied to someone else, in a "just not right" kind of way. Wrong on too many levels for me to describe. In fact, the more I think about it, the more it creeps me out.

So, despite a lifelong ambition to skydive at least once, the whole "tandem" thing is a deal breaker.
