It's becoming more and more obvious that JR VIP is full of douche bags. Thought i'd throw it out there that just because a perk is given, doesnt mean it cant be taken away.

Executive VIP's and Mods have been drummed out for being losers, and the same should happen in JR VIP.

Maybe there should be a senior VIP added as an additional level for proven members not yet invited up to VIP, I don't know.

It just seems that way too many idiots are abusing that forum and maybe it's time to start knocking tons of people back down.

Maybe a vote system like for executive VIP, or a group of more trusted JR VIPS and Execs that would be willing to review posts from potential members to see if they are worthy of moving up.

Any JR VIP should be able to start a poll thread voting to kick out a member. If it gets the votes, done deal.

Well I have noticed that extra moderators are being taken on and I hope soon because this will definitely help weed out some of these dick heads that come in here.

I do not fully understand why people want to risk their reputation in a place like this or when someone wants to scam a few hundred dollars from someone in a place like this when the earning potentials of being a long-term valuable member are almost unlimited.

While I have noticed all of the drama and bullshit circling around Jr. VIPs lately, I'm sure this attention has been noted to the current mods and they're currently thinking of a new system or perhaps brainstorming ideas to help the current situation.

I honestly think that once a couple or maybe even a few more worthwhile and trustworthy moderators are promoted, that the forum will maintain it's control again. The forum is rising and growing so fast and there's always bound to be those bad apples who try to ruin it for the people who have been here for so long and contribute.

i completely agree, Jr vip's is full on nonsense now, kids with no knowledge and thinking they can make a quick buck with shit basicly, it drags us good guys down. and takes away benefits which jr vip had.. im sure not many people look up to a jr vip as it's not something thats that hard to get to

Not to be too repetitive, but I do agree with you Nevarc. There are some that don't deserve it. A system in place would help keep things grounded.

I agree but I also think it is on each member to perform due diligence on other members before entering into any deals with them. I know it is hard to do that sometimes but there are many guys here that you can tell by reading a few of their posts that you wouldn't want to go into biz with them or trust them with secrets.

I never get to be a JR. VIP and I am now not minding if I ever get to be one. I am happy as contributing in my own silent ways in here.

Yea, I agree there are a lot of foolish threads in Jr Vip recently.

Well, any time someone can buy and/or post (whatever it is now lol) their way into jr vip means that jerks and losers can still get in. The only way I think to prevent this is to have some kind of voting system in place, but I understand how that can get pretty tedious considering the size of this forum.

However, with the exception of that one obvious incident in the jr vip, it has seemed to get much better. A few total moron jr vipers (actually, I only have one in mind, but I think there were others) have been banned, and over the past few weeks, it seems to have gotten more interesting and lively in there instead of being...umm...totally dead. It's getting better, but larger which means incidents are bound to happen.

Is there any beneift to the title anyways? From what I can tell, it is just a couple of stars, a blue title, and a silent section of the forum. There are plenty of good thoughts and ideas on the main forums anyways.

yea the jr vip is very nice, but most of what is so great about BHW is in the general forums. Though it does have its perks.

I also think gaining entrance to Jr. VIP is to easy. Anyone can get 60 days, 100 posts and donate $97. It's not enough. I'm closing in on all of the above stats, and I have $97, but calling myself a Jr. VIP wouldn't be right. I just don't feel like I have the IM knowledge or experience to "carry" that title. I wish a few more members felt the same way.

The forum now consists of a LOT of Regular Members, with solid post count and rep., that are more respected and knowledgeable then many Jr. VIP's. They don't care about the title. That should say a lot. They don't care about it because it doesn't mean what it once did (please understand, I don't say this to insult).

All that being said, It's still a GREAT forum! Best on the internet. If it wasn't so good we wouldn't be experiencing these growing pains.

PS: An interesting fact as it relates to success and getting to were you want to go...Every rocket that the US launched to the moon was off course an average of 97% of it's flight, yet it still made it to it's destination. How? Easy. Very smart people continually put the ship back on course EVERY time it started going in the wrong direction...

The beggars I can deal with - although how they get in if they can't even afford a domain name is beyond me. What I have noticed is a dumbing down of some of the threads and responses. Some of them make me look like an evil blackhat genius - and that ain't right, because I'm certainly not even close

I agree, I would certainly like to see this forum cleaned up a bit. Harro posted about it recently, and I'm glad the forum is starting to look closer at itself and cleaning up it's members. I posted something similar in about perhaps being voted into jr.vip in the "should we close BHW" thread posted a while ago.

For what it's worth, I'd be happy to see Nevarc chosen as one of the new mods. :)

You must be some sort of genious cos you joined May 2009. timehax?

I also think gaining entrance to Jr. VIP is to easy. Anyone can get 60 days, 100 posts and donate $97.

Actually NOT everyone can.... yeah it seems simple to you and me and a lot of us... but when I survey the situation, I think you're overestimating the capabilities of a lot of people.

Apparently it's very hard for a lot of people to make 100 posts that aren't so stupid that they're banworthy.

Staying for 60 days and contributing (instead of trying to spam some aff links and/or rip off members) seems to be tough too.

As for the $97, yeah it should be easily done by anyone who's been here for a few weeks and put in even the TINIEST effort. But since a lot of people still haven't donated, I guess there's a lot more poseurs than we realize.

Good first step to cleaning up VIP would be to retroactively enforce the donation policy... any current non-donor VIP's should be given a week or two to chip in, or be demoted.

This is a marketing forum after all, so judging members on a financial basis is more acceptable than it would be in other areas of life (or other forums with different themes).

If people won't donate $97, I can see only two reasons:

  1. They don't have it. So for that reason alone they need to work on the fundamentals, learn to make some money in their personal lives, before worrying about rank on a forum.
  2. They have it, but they don't want to contribute for whatever reason. In that case they have the wrong attitude, and a total lack of appreciation for the great forum the admins provide.
For the record yes, I know I'm an asshole for even talking about this, because I haven't been here very long and I haven't contributed any threads or uber secrets yet. (I've just been answering questions if my experience can help, and keeping my mouth shut otherwise.)

There are many non-donor VIPs who've been here a long time and gathered lots of thanks for great contributions... and if those guys are mad at me right now, I understand why and apologize for my affront.

Maybe donating used to be considered a lame way to sneak in early? If so, that conception should stop.

No, the $97 doesn't prove someone is great or competent, by any means... but it does show that they actually give a little bit of a shit about this place.

And that should be a bare minimum requirement for any perks.

I planned to save my good info shares for VIP section (and of course for my JV partners, of any level)... but if it's as bad in there as you say, I'm not going to want to.

The Donor status is a big thing for me, when it comes to trusting other members... I don't want to contribute ideas worth thousands to anybody who doesn't have the talent or inclination to pony up a measly $97. Casting pearls before swine and all that...

I don't even want the money for myself, but if I see someone chipped in for a good cause, then I trust them a whole lot more.

If there isn't going to be a house cleaning of VIPs, then I'd at least like to see a Donors-only section... there are techniques that I don't want to make public, but I'd be happy to post there.

I think there should be some definite house cleaning on this site.

Agreed. Should start with the group buyers (minus a few) and then move on from there. I know there are bans almost everyday but the shit just keeps piling up! It stinks in here!
