This (selling fan pages) is an unfamiliar territory for me, but with most websites, you should be able to sell between 8 - 14 X profit.

As long as the data can be supported, I don't think it would be any different.

Hope this helps!

Absolutely not. The major difference between a traditional website and a Facebook fanpage is that you don't own the fanpage, and are therefore not able to sell it per se, as ultimately Facebook owns it and can do anything they want with it, including shutting it down if they so please. Because of this a fanpage will be valued much, much lower than a traditional website.

Just seen a fan page sold for 10K people even flew to the country of the owner to meet face to face.you can get bucket loads of $$$$

I see no reason why you can't get more than 10k for it. It all depends really on what type of fan page is it, and the kind of people that liked the page, it's worth more value with mostly US facebookers, than say, India facebookers and other third world countries if you know what I mean.

u will never sell it for 7-8k for sure. Be lucky if some one offer you 1-2k at max.

I just signed up, not tech savvy. My son created a fan page 3 years ago and pretty much forgot about it for the last year or so. It has 1.2 mill likes at this point. He has not been active, maybe posted 3 or 4 times in last 4 years. Its called "the teacher says work with a partner, I look at my friend, we both nod". Pretty random. I looked at the admin stuff and it seems to be the age range 18-24. More girls appear to "like" it and they are younger, the recent "likes", maybe 16-18. . He's not a big social network person but wondering aloud if there is a way to convert this to money for him to use for college.

are all the fans real ? and can you send me the url of your fan page? you can earn from that by putting advertising post onto that. That can be your money making machine :)

it depends on the number of users plus the region, if the likes are from US users then ask someone, they might give you something for them, good luck!

Yeah well said . facebook is the site owner of the fan page, it their site so their rules . Facebook fan page is just like a wordpress site , you cannot advertise your sites on that , lot of 3rd party advertisements are banned in facebook and a high traffic is the page to get a lot of traffic for my adsense blog or the page to get a lot of subscribes to my ptc sites or pts or survey sites . if that wont be the result , then it wont be wise to pay the same amount . The same amount we spend for a real site purchase :p

Thanks for providing this feedback! That definitely makes a lot of sense!

What I do to make money is buy a popular Facebook page or JV with the owner of it. My last venture, my partner and I made 700-1k a day each using his page. Anyway I'd like to know more about your page. If it's not one of those random quote pages I'm almost sure I'll buy it. Also, if you wanted to, we could JV. I'm open to both, buying it or JVing on it, if you haven't sold it already of course.

Add me on skype if you're interested. RedWhiteAndRed
