Ever seen a ghost?

base on documentary I watch. ghost or creepy things only to be seen by people who have lack of self esteem and who have 3rd eye. well I never see one I don't know if that thing exist but I believe more in our "GOD" and watching horror etc don't really freak me out

I am an atheist, so it is really hard for me to believe in ghosts. But I did have an encounter, maybe it was just my brain fucking with me. IDK. Here is the story:
I was visiting my grandparents. They had just got a new desktop pc with one of those glossy lcd monitors. I always carry a portable harddrive with movies and stuff in it.
So after few minutes wandering outside, I decided to watch a movie.
The desktop background was solid black color. I started watching Forrest Gump. I heard someone call my name, so I paused the movie and minimized the window. Remember I had plain black desktop background.

There in the reflection from the lcd monitor I could see, an old guy in traditional clothes sitting behind me. He was staring at the monitor. I just froze. I tried to not notice and resumed my movie, after about 15 minutes I checked for the reflection. It wasn't there.

I can guarantee that anyone who will go to a cemetery late at night will believe in ghosts.
My old house was near a cemetery i could see it across my bedroom window almost every night
I could see lights moving fast, shadows on the walls. very strange things.

I am telling you guys, this is one of my favourite threads on BHW! I have always been interested in such topics and, of course, I believe in them even thought I haven't personally experienced any of these unexplained activities.

Anyway, I have heard so many stories about ghosts and spirits that it is difficult not to trust them. Heck, even my mother has used something like the so called ouiji board to make a contact with spirits.

The latest story I have heard is about a spirit switching lights and what not in my classmates house. She says it is scary but the spirit doesn't seem to be evil so they kind of got used with it even though mysterious things happen from time to time. She claims that it all started when they brought an old piano into their house. I can't remember if they bought the piano but I certainly remember that it was connected with an old piano. Also, I remember her telling me how her dog or cat (not sure) used to squeeze behind furniture and do unusual things as to being scared from something (similar to what happened with your pets). As far as I know she hasn't seen the spirit but the story itself is real.

Anyway, I don't want to experience anything of that as I am way too scared of such things. Shit, why did I read the whole thread this late! It is damn scary now!

Yep, when I was 12.

Sleeping and I awaken at 3AM, thought I saw 'a women' crawling on the wall.

Almost pissed myself & closed my eyes & tried not to look. Fell asleep again after that.

On a short note, I was having a high temp fever at that time :/

I had an similar visions, but i was a bit younger.. I was living in my home country (vietnam) in countryside. I saw some ghost kids playing outside on playground and a ghost woman in front of me. I was fcking scared and i was lying in a bed without my bed blanket. Holy shit I was a kid GOD! Why..

It took you 15 mins to check again!? You're mad, I would have turned round/shat myself instantly.

They are real, and I have seen one once when I was younger. It stood unshaken for over 30 mins in the dark facing the fence. As we watched in fear (my siblings and I), it suddendly turned and started walking in our direction, but we gave way. Then it entered the building next to ours through a locked door. It literally disappeared before our very eyes. Then we didn't really understand anything as it all happened so fast, save for the over 30 minutes he stood initially in the dark. The next morning, the family living next block received message that they had lost their dad who lived in their home town

Truth is, when we are born, we possess some supernatural energy, but we tend to lose them as we grow older, mainly because we don't use them...Larmark's law of use and disuse

At one point my colleague went out to get some lunch and I was on my own in the shop. I decided to egg this ghost on and said aloud ' come on then, do something!' 2 seconds later I heard a bang and a staple gun flew at my head and smashed on the floor.

You were alone and a staple gun was just randomly thrown at your head and you still brushed it off like nothing? I don't believe you, i think everyone would of reacted if someone through a staple gun at their head in a empty room.

100% I swear on my son this happened.

I was a RN at a retirement home, and everyday at 11:30 I would bring food to some of the elderly people who couldn't get up to go to the cafeteria and they needed their food a bit early for their meds. Well, there was this old lady named Nancy, and she was the sweetest lady on the planet. She always talked about how here son was coming to visit that day but .. he never would. Well, she was the last person I would bring the food too, so I always spent about 15 min with her before I had to leave. She was ALWAYS watching Survivor (the first season), it was always on at that time that I would make it to her room and we would always chat about it.

Well, one day I went to bring her food and she wasn't in there, the tv was off and her things were gone. I left the tray on her table and walked out to speak to some of the staff and ask where she was, they said "Oh Kady, she passed away last night". Well, when I walked back in her room to grab the tray of food I left, the tv turned on and survivor was on! Right in front of me, I HEARD the *snap* sound of the tv turning on. HUGE goosebumps and shivers, not a cold sensation like others said, but I was stiff as a board.

Now, I know if she never changed the channel, when you turn it on it will be on the show. But it's the fact that the TV just turned on! I want to believe in ghost so bad, and it's hard for me to believe because I feel we would have had stronger contact and proof by now with all the tv shows and all the time that's passed with no real evidence. It's just hard to not believe when I had that happen to me. I know it's just a tv turning on, but right in front of me for no reason? Before you say, the remotes are not wireless, it's a wired remote.

I have 3 other unexplainable stories with that place, but that's my favorite. Also, I do believe there could be residual energy (our bodies can run a light bulb), but having a "ghost" that thinks and does things, is hard for me to believe. Plus, wouldn't there be more hilarious ghosts and lots of reports of random phantom butt grabs on girls, people tripping, hearing ghostly fart sounds or other hilarious things like I would do if I were a ghost.

There are lots stories about this on my street and neighborhood.

So this is my story:

Around the age of 10-12, I used to hear a carriage coming down the street that I never got a chance to see. The sound was very interesting because I could hear the horses walking on a cobblestone street even though our street was asphalt. I remember getting up and run to our window to see it go through, but the sound would stop and start again a three or four houses away. I thought this was crazy but a few years later my nephew told the same story, what a coincidence.
