[Tutorial] How to Buy & Flip Domain Names for Profit

Flipping domain names is one of the least time consuming methods I do in terms of minutes spent per dollar earned, meaning flipping domain names earns me the most money per time spent. If you have considered flipping domains, or you just started out, or you have done it for a while I think you will get benefit from the tutorials.

My average $ spent on a domain name is about $100-150. My average sale on a domain name is about $1,500. I've spent $X,XXX on a domain (many times) and I've sold a domain for $XX,XXX before (only twice).

You did well getting an affiliate account at namejet i couldn't see an option to signup for one over there but notice the "affid=2" when i click the "signup at namejet" link

If you want to get one you do so through Essociate.com. They manually approve so you need a relevant website.

Thanks for the thread. What do you do with expired domains with PR? I just purchased an expired PR3 domain from a godaddy auction for a great price, and just redirected it to a facebook page of mine. I am thinking of flipping it. Any thoughts? Cheers.

Domain flipping has always interested me, I tried it in the past and I didn't do amazingly well- as didn't really know what I was doing. Definitely tempted to try again.

If you buy a domain with PR you can try for a quick flip through this forum, another forum, ebay, etc... PR3 won't get you a ton (you'll need PR 5 or PR6 to get maybe four figures).

domains have a big niche market.defintely worth looking into.I have seen a domain sold for $20 000 .so there is huge profit if you can get the right client Ex: Corporations

I guess finding a good domain name to buy is like finding a niche, you just have to work at it.

Can you offer anymore hints ?

Also one more question.

I was searching for certain phrases and found one or 2 exact matches for company names. Now the domain is obvously worthless to me as it is a lowish traffic and not really a niche. There are also no bids and the bidding ends in 36 hours.

Would it be worth my while to contact the companies and offer them this domain before i bid on it to insure i have a buyer ?
