First VPS..need help to setup..

VPS is just like your PC. but installing antivirus will slow down the speed.you can transfer the files directly i think. no need to install Cpannel.

Hello..I am newbie in this vps system..I would like to ask some about VPS, I have buy a vps from bermanhostingg yesterday, my question is..

2. Do i need a cpanel to transfer file to my vps? and can i used cpanel in bermanhosting?

Very appreciate your advice..thanks..and I plan to use Ultimate Demon on VPS.. just bought UD a few days ago..

What OS is installed on your VPS? You mention installing cPanel, and that Berman have recommend that you install webmin, which would indicate to me that your running a Linux OS (cPanel and webmin are both linux only). But you also mention that you want to run Ultimate Demon which is a Windows program.

Ohh I did have a question about opening the task manager without cntrl alt del via remote desktop connection. Cuz that just opens my main comps task manager.

Right click the task bar. There should be an option for task manager (There is in Win Server 08 R2).

Hi,

2. You can directly copy-paste files from your PC to VPS.
you cant you either need to upload somewhere and down on vps or install cp or something to let you connect through ftp

Yes you can, under remote desktop, click 'local resources' tab. There you can select options to share drives and clipboard etc.

Great information in this thread. I'm looking to setup a VPS that has the option to purchase additional IP's. Random not consecutive IP's is preferably, dosen't have to be blazing fast. The cheaper the better.

Kindly check my bst my clicking on sign
i have lowest prices around with zero downtime

I can provide you also non consecutive ips

Thank you

How can you use more than one IP for a windows based vps?

For example I would want to login to two different Google accounts on two different ips?

Thanks I'm looking at your site now.

i remember well when i first tried to set up a vps. i was so lost and frustrated my head hurt...seriously. i dont know how but i came across vpsbible-dot-com i bit the bullet and paid 15 bucks. its a site with step by step guide, the source code to put in and videos to look at. it was well worth it. if you are true, total noob when it comes to vps, its well worth taking a look at.

windows VPS is easy...

LINUX vps without WHM = dang!

The information for VPS setup is free, and publically available.

No newbie has to pay any fee. See here for VPS Setup:

Whenever there's a "Help, I'm a newbie" thread, the vultures swoop in and try to hijack the thread with their sales pitches to take advantage of gullible newbies.
