Hello! I am new here, and before posting, I did go and do a fairly thorough read through of all the old Paypal posts (so hopefully I didn't miss my answer somewhere back there), but none of them really had what I was looking for..

My original intent, like so many others, was to create a dummy Paypal, through which to accept payment (for commissioned artwork/writing). I would ADORE to be able to conceal my identity from every party involved... but it's begun to look as though that's not much of a realistic option? Not without a great deal of effort for a very short window of use, which, in my opinion, would not be particularly worth it.

Above all else, my number one priority is to be able to conceal my identity from my clients (they can be a bit.. off sometimes). So my question is, does anyone have any suggestions? Paypal seems to be the number one most used medium with these kinds of things, but I'm really open to anything at all that will keep me anonymous, and keep them from being inconvenienced.

Would it be possible to use my legitimate Paypal account, then change the name/address? I've seen the name change option in the settings, but hesitate to attempt it, lest I be flagged or some other annoyance.

I was also wondering why it is that the dummy accounts keep getting Paypal's attention. Is there any particular variables that could be adjusted, any actions that could be avoided? Everyone keeps saying that they're getting restricted, but no one's really saying if they know why. Surely there's always a way, as long as you know what you're up against?

I already made the mistake of rushing out and purchasing a prepaid debit card, before doing all my research. Soo... help me? If I don't find a way to do this, I'll never be able to afford that early retirement ;-; (kidding, really).

It's tough to become a rated seller there. From what I hear you need to sale a service that is worth quite a bit more than 5$. Then once you become a rated seller with a lot of positive feedback you can offer less for the same price. I'm not sure if this helps but check out etsy.

I believe Etsy actually uses Paypal for payments (not positive). So I might just run into the same problem.
I don't see why there isn't a descrete company out there, or some kind of option to withold personal information so long as everyone agrees. As long as the middle-man company has that information, there's a way to resolve potential issues. But no reason to reveal that info unless a problem Does in fact occur. Such a simple thing made so difficult for no real reason.

BitCoin is great but not everyone uses it. I have the same question, but does anyone know how to make the payments hide my name/address such as making a business Paypal account? Also if you do get flagged what happens? Do they restrict you from making a new account? Is it wise to use a fake name on paypal? Thanks guys and great question, distract_me.
