It's quite easy to scale as well. If you want to do it properly, get a professional site setup - this will make it far easier to convert. You could probably also sell the same service on small business forums - you don't need to be emailing all day long.

Brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing this, definitely some scope to make a lot out of this. There are loads of businesses that are law crazy and want to abide by every rule. Only problem with this is they will more than likely just ask there IT developer.

Sure, not everyone will go for it, but not everyone has an IT department, nor a developer who could fix the issue so quickly.

ha that is nutz, you can mass email with a legit letter saying the laws state this and that, and your website may be taken down. We are this and this company in charge of whatever frauds and it is mandatory to comply with the law, please pay 80$ and your website will be fixed and setup according to the law ........ thats what i would do, but thats very black hat )

What kind of websites should I target? Eshops or everything that sells on/off-line?

I'd just target everything. You'll soon get an idea what works/what doesn't.
Sold a few but that was to existing clients. There's no reason why this wouldn't work contacting others, though. You don't have to target WP sites, that was just an example plugin. Local business owners are likely to be the most paranoid, so will probably convert best.

There are still lot of noobs creating wordpress sites everyday. They can be targeted and even some professionals can be targeted if they don't know about the plugin.

Yes, sold a few. I try not to get distracted by methods like this, though, so while it's profitable, I'm sticking to brokering

search in google: keyword "powered by wordpress"
This way you'll only find website that were made with wordpress and you can instal the plugin in 3minutes. Easy $$$

There are other non-WP plugins out there. Just do a quick search.

For those who are wondering how to mass contact these people, and find sites using wordpress, you can do this rather easily with scrapebox.
Scrape the sites using a footprint like:
This will bring up the contact pages for some .co.uk sites. You can then message these webmasters using the contact form by using the learning mode poster addon in scrapebox. Just teach the learning mode poster the fields in the contact form, and you're good to go.
