hi,

i downloaded me gusta theme from the downloads section, and installed it on one of my wordpress sites. However, i am having trouble opening it on chrome(broken pages) but works fine with ie, ive checked the sales page and it says that is compatible with chrome. any help?

Hey, could you post link so I can check it out?

I used me gusta and everything was fine, it is definitely not problem in theme (at least not the bought one ).

Qn.: How to make sure that all the Wordpress installations on my shared hosting package are now operating without any lingering malware threats/scripts in the background? My sites were "hacked by dbuzz" and are, atm, supposed to be cleaned... but I had to do the entire cleaning part, and the host isn't much help.

So is there any WP security plugin (free) that can do a complete authentic scan of my WP site/s for any lingering malware / hack codes?


I have checked many such plugins, but am doubtful because almost all need me to be a paid member after installing their free plugin.

Hey, I would recommend this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/exploit-scanner/

It is completely free, but it does not automatically remove infected files, that is your job.

After you are sure everything is clean, make sure to install Better WP Security plugin, also completely free, to prevent such incidents in the feature.

Thanks a ton! Will check it now. If I know where the malicious codes / files are, I may be able to remove them. Will also take all the care to keep my sites regularly cleaned in future.

- How can i setup a pop-up window whenever someone lands on my homepage, prompting them if they would like to be on our mailing list. Is that done thru javascript? How can i implement that on a wordpress site?
- If i would like a muti-language option on the site, is there a plugin that i can use? I'm not talking about the plugin that uses google translate, I would have my contents translated to the required language.

For multilingual content, you have two best options:

PAID: http://wpml.org/

I use paid one and it's great.

Go to Appearance - Widgets and you will probably have widget to display categories with icons in sedebar, I am not sure because I don't have the theme.

To use an enhanced Category Widget go to Appearance ? Widgets and drag and drop the Category Icons widget.
You can select an icon for each category from the provided drop-down list.
The icons list is automatically generated from the images names located in
/$theme_directory$/images/category_icons/
So, simply upload a new png image sized 16x16px and it will appear in thewidget?s dropdown list.

Hmm I really don't know why it would not work. Try changin permission of the folder using CPanel.

Okay.. So let's say I've created a Child Theme from Twenty Eleven (latest). As you probably already know, the width for this theme is 1000px (header, content, everything). What do I need to add to the style.css to take it down to let's say.. 755px?
