[CASE STUDY] Sending Scrapebox Blasts to Your Money Site

Hello,

I've been "crawling" this site for a while and not really posted, lots of good content and individuals.

I was wondering on this topic:

-What is Scrapebox written in?
-Are there plugins, how configurable is it?
-Is it open source?(could I add new HTTP post methods or add a plugin to make it used in new way?

Thanks guys

Some time ago i blasted site with SB links and rankings fall dramaticly, but after some time, rankings came back even stronger, i was #3 and now #5 , before blast i was #9 and #10. So i think SB blast can get raking up

In my case it wasnt big blast, but anyway it decresed ranking

Well there are different methods to blast with scrape box, and each type would be able to test for different variables, debunk different myths. For example:

Myth 1: Penguin penalizes if you don't diversify anchor link.
Myth 2: Link Velocity.

Let's say If you were to run tests on website 2 and 4, and both were to experience drops in ranking, then we would be able to draw a different set of conclusions apart from what everyone here believes about penguin.

Anyhow, I'm curious to see what happens with your site. From everything I've been keeping up to date with here lately, I believe it will rank up high for the targeted keywords, and then drop off completely if all the stuff with penguin holds true.

+rep for your efforts, regardless of which way it takes you.

For the most part, blasting your money website has had a negative response, but the real kicker is long term. I would assume Google will fix the ability to do negative seo or at least tweak it. That is when, things will get interesting. All these unethical practices will backfire and help your competitor.

Great case study. I''ll keep a close eye on this one. Because large SB blasts like this have been said to tank your site. Be interesting to see a case study at proves otherwise.

Rootin' for ya

Ranking Update:

Previously ranking keyword: 59 to 96
New Keyword: 0 to 139

Interesting Note:

Long tail version of previously ranking keyword: 113 to 50

Great thread. :) It will be interesting to see how long your rankings hold for the ones that are at least gaining ground at the moment.

Can I ask the age/how old the domain and the pages your are blasting are? I imagine if you tried this on a brand new domain you will be auto-sand-boxed.

The domain is a few months old with some basic backlinks built to it. I am only blasting the home page and I am only using 2 anchor texts. Essentially, this is a negative SEO campaign against my own site.

RANKING UPDATE

Previously ranking keyword: 96 to 200
New Keyword: 139 to 105

I didn't do a blast yesterday. I'll do 100,000 links later today.

I've been interested in this lately too. If it's complete negative effects, it's worthwhile to negative SEO. My gut tells me it's going to level out around the same as it was before, maybe even better.

Another case study showing negative SEO works. This is going to make the game a lot more confusing. I am still not sure what to do about it. Seems like a waste of time to focus on negative SEO towards competitors. But I just keep reading it works and how easy it is. I think an all out war is coming.

First of all, there has been some positive SERP movement too. It is far too early in this case study to make any conclusions.

Also, keep in mind that this site is only a couple of months old with basic backlinks. The effects on a site that is way older with stronger backlinks will be way different. I still don't believe negative SEO is as simple as sending a scrapebox blast to a money site.

Everytime I've sb blasted my money sites no matter how old or what keywords it was sandboxed and completely deindexed for weeks within 5 days after the blast, I would recommend using sb for 1st or 2nd tier links.

I know how to properly use Scrapebox. This is a case study.

RANKING UPDATE

Previously Ranking Keyword: 200 to 56
New Keyword: 105 to 113 (still up from 0 zero though)
Longtail version of Previously Ranking Keyword: 50 to 14

This is after do an 100k blast yesterday using only the previously ranking keyword and new keyword as anchor texts.

I was reading this and grimacing as your previously ranking keyword went from 50 to 200.. but now back to 50, that's awesome.
I'm basically doing the same thing as you at the moment, except I think something is either wrong with SB or my lists because I did a 100k blast and SB found absolutely NONE of the links when I used the backlink checker..
But I chose a pretty easy KW, made a blog, and started spamming it. Nothing yet, but it might be my bad lists or something.

Your problem is most likely your list if the links are showing up under as "Successful" in SB. If they aren't showing up as Succcsessful, try checking your connection and timeout settings.

You are ruining the Penguin! Let's see how it ends.

Once again, it is far too early to draw any conclusions from this case study.

I am confused. If a massive scrapbox blast to your main site is so bad, why is the same massive scrapebox to your tier 2 web 2.0 so good?
This seems illogical
